Instant 6-8 match ban. No excuse for this. What the hell was he thinking.

@Dynastian: And I completely agree. Atletico are some dirty fu.ckers (ironic coming from a Mourinho fan but we're all dirty fu.ckers in this hypocritical sport, so who cares!) and that Godin step should have been a 3-4 match ban as well. The Spanish FA definitely need to learn how to punish players properly.

Glad to see you actually see this as a terrible move by Ronaldo and agree with the 3-4 match ban. No offense but I thought you'd hurry to Ronaldo's defense after this thread was made. :P

@Vendetta

I understand what you mean. But even if I am a Real Madrid fan, I have to accept my players' stupidity when I see it.

However, I'd like to point out that this is an action/reaction thing. Ronaldo punched Godin after the Atletico players had spent the entire half knocking him and slamming him to the ground, as well as the previous match. Godin had also had Ronaldo in a headlock-type position, and Ronaldo pushed him away then elbowed him on the shoulder/neck, and his fist hit Godin's face. If it was up to me, I'd give both of them reds. But since the red card was not given, only Ronaldo will end up getting punished by the Spanish FA, if at all. This is what I mean when I say that Atletico are the most disgusting team in the world. Simeone should be equally respected and hated. Respected for his success, and hated for the way he achieves it.

@Dynastian98
3 dirty players??
And you dont mention Arbeloa and mention Xabi?
He is the biggest cuunt of RM.
Marcelo and especially coentrao could also be on that list..

@Don

They are defenders. It is their job to be physical. Arbeloa is a physical player, but not a dirty one. It's like saying Puyol plays dirty. He doesn't. He was just a physical player. Get your sh*t together. Marcelo loses his head sometimes, and gets punished with a red card when he commits a dirty challenge. Neither he nor Coentrao are dirty players.

Dirty is what Pepe did to that poor Getafe striker. Dirty is committing intentional fouls to harm the opponent every game. Pepe and Ramos fall into that category. Alonso doesn't foul to harm the opponent, but he fouls enough times to be considered a 'dirty' player. The entire Atletico midfield and defense is dirty. Heck, even Mandzukic played like a c*nt the entire two legs. Their entire team, asides from their keeper, is dirty. Bilbao are dirty. Malaga are dirty. Not Madrid or Barca.

I Really cant believe that you put arbeloa out of this category but still include Alonso.
Arbeloa is a cunt.
He proves that in every clasico.
Harsh fouls,slaps messi,stamps on Diego costa.

For Marcelo you are probably right he loses his temper often.
Remember that foul on Cesc on the last minute?
Ouch...

@Dynast yes Madrid fans should learn some class at defeat, yes Atleti are physical, see what you defended RM players for being physical, you can do the same about Atletico.
This squad wages bill is 30 per cent lower than Queens park rangers, their TV right is 1/5 our similar TV rights and still able to compete with us and beat us, they leave their blood on the pitch and it deserves my utmost respect.

I believe they deserve the economical rise they are accomplishing, dont you ?

@Tiki

I didn't say that the don't deserve their economical rise. You are raising a different point.

Madrid players are physical. Atletico are dirty. Dirty as in the sense that they tackle with the intention of harm. When you see Koke and Gabi slamming Kroos and Modric to the ground when they are 50 yards from goal, that's what you call dirty. Madrid doesn't do that, Barca doesn't do that. Atletico and Bilbao both do, and that's why they're both dirty.

There is no defending how dirty Atletico is. They play like scum when they're challenging for a ball. An outstanding team, but they play incredibly dirty.

This is in no way comparable to suarez's bite. Pull yourself together. Like emre said, this is what happens in football when people lose their temper. Suarez bit someone for the third time in his carreer. It's like all of a sudden the suarez ban has to become a standard in the eyes of some football fans. Not only on here, I've seen other people thinking that way on other websites. Fact is, the suarez case is applying drastic measures to a very very special situation. Godin was fouling ronaldo, ronaldo lost his temper, punched him, should have been red carded with a 3 match ban for violent conduct. And godin should have gotten a yellow and a penalty against him. And this is not about who ronaldo is, that's the rules. Don't go and invent 5-6 match bans for these things. Forget the suarez ban for something that will probably never happen again in 50 years.

Wow Ronaldo...

I would be happy if they gave him any kind of punishment. Just to make sure this actions can be sanctioned and Ronaldo can be banned as well. That was very silly coming from a guy like him.

I completely agree with KingHenry. People should stop comparing every foul or dirty action to Suarez's incident. That was a completely unique and special thing that happened and comparing other related issues with it wont really make sense.

Also, people are overreacting about Atletico's "dirty tactics". Its nothing special, they play hard, harder than many other teams but this is part of the sport. A contact sport were you cant be bitching around for every foul. You have probably never seen a Stoke City game against a top table team.. That is playing harsh.

Real and Barcelona will always be the one which associations prefer ahead of other teams.

Not surprised Ronaldo hasn't banned. Spanish FA are always biased towards Barca and Real. They'll never touch their star players (other than Ramos lol).
