"If I can help to improve soccer here I can help - but I think they are great, they are in a good way," Ronaldo, a former world player of the year and football's most expensive signing, said in an interview with the MLS website.

"I hope to come here to play one day," added the Portuguese, who signed a six-year contract with Real in June 2009 after the Spanish champions paid Manchester United £80 million for his services.

Real are currently on a pre-season tour of the U.S. and play Mexican side Santos Laguna in Las Vegas later on Sunday.

Legendary? No he's far from that still. But players like Henry and Beckham play in MLS. There is nothing wrong to do so at the end of their careers.

Actually, I heard him say the same thing directly on a recent interview with ESPN so Keith isn't lying.
All this means is he's smart and is planting a seed for the future for when he gets old and needs a final big paycheck. Plus he loves California and spends a lot of time hanging out there. Nothing strange about this... he didn't say anytime soon.
