Serie A giants Roma have made an enquiry about Liverpool striker Luis Suarez and are willing to pay up to £16m to get their man.

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport says Roma have already been in contact with Liverpool but talks have been parked until the end of the season.

The report adds that Liverpool value the controversial Uruguayan at £21m. Juventus are also said to be showing an interest.

It is highly unlikely that Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish would be prepared to sell his star striker but with the club failing to challenge for a top six place, Suarez could be tempted by a move to Serie A.
