First of all, congrats to Real, after watching today's leg, I'd doubt anyone questions which team should be in the final. City absolutely showed no urgency whatsoever...I find that a little pathetic and very disturbing. This was the first time they got to a Semi final, and acted totally disinterested. Did Pelligrini throw away the game today and the one against Southamption out of spite? Or is it the Players' fault? Yaya should have been kicked out the day he said about PSG and started acting out like a spoiled brat. Whatever the reason, I hope City loses this weekend against Arsenal! That would be icing on the cake!
@superflash Thank you for your insight man. Very intuitive.
Obviously I am happy, but I will be even more happy if the win the final that is why i am a little worried with the way they played. You think that was a good game?
@ashwin1729 You are right man, Man city blew it no play creation at all, Real had a good defense too though.
I may have come across a little harsh, but I'm not going to change what I'm attempting to convey. Was Real better than City? Yes. Did Real deserve to win? Yes. Did Real win? Yes. Are you in the final of the CL? Yes. Do you have an honest to good chance to win the final? Yes.
...
Yet you still see a problem. Constructive criticism is very good, but for the City game it isn't really needed. Real did what they had to do to win, and without Casemiro in the side, that meant never exposing the backline, which forced both Kroos and Isco to play WAY deep. Obviously you're going to score less goals and create less going forward. It was Ronaldo's first game back from a leg injury, what did you expect, a hat-trick? C'mon
Agree with SunFlash.
Real didnt look so convincing but they were a better team and deserved to go through.
Ronaldo wasnt at his best thats for sure, but he just came back. And he is like that, but give him a couple of chance he will punish you badly.
Real must definitely improve if they want to be champ again, but i dont think ATM has much higher chance than them
@sunflash
I may have come across a little harsh...
Really lad, your being way too hard on the new guy, I'm starting to think you truly have something against Real Madrid fan. I don't usually think I need to to tell you that, but you could try to be less drastic while making your point. Not that its a bad point. :p
On another point, I agree I was expecting a lot better for a semi-final match, both match weren't very interesting and I feel like Manchester City never did anything to worry Madrid too much. Disagree with me if you want but if both Atletico and Real play the way they did in the semi, I would say that in my mind, Atletico is favorite to win it. Of course, they propably won't play like they did in the semi.
@tuan_jinn Agreed with you, Ronaldo didn't look so great, but he just came back from his injury. Still, I think Real are gonna need him to be at 100% for the final.
It was a good performance, though. We were defensively pretty solid, and we just failed to finish all our offensive chances. Would've been 3-0 on another day.
@Dynastian98 Completely agreed. :)
Disappointing.
I am very happy Real got through but **** that game was hard to watch. Ronaldo had little presence in the game, he had 1 or 2 shots at goal. Most of the time he was telling players what to do ????? yo just play, zidane is the coach here.
I thought they defended pretty well, Offense was awful in my opinion, kinda lucky bale got that goal, but hey thats soccer for you.
They better find their chemistry soon or atletico's counters are going to annihilate us :(
