Very smart move. Arbeloa is old, and very underperforming. Carvajal will be great. I think he's scored one goal and given eight assists last season with Bayer Leverkusen. He should fit in perfectly to Madrid, as it is his boyhood club. :)

Well, it's a smart buy. We still have to see if it pays off. There's no point in buying back Carvajal if we're not going to use him. If we use him, and he performs well, then we can call it some smart work. Otherwise, this is just a case of Perez buying whoever the f**k he can. Did you hear about the Bale rumors? He wants to break the record they set for Ronnie by paying Spurs 85 Million pounds for Bale. =.=

He is mentioned so often here and I truly never saw a single game from him. Therefor I cannot give my opinion about his abilities. I love seeing players play for their youth teams. Assuming all talk about him is true and accurate he should have no trouble being picked above Arbeola (one of the worse defenders I've seen in a while).

Dyn about Bale, I find it ridiculous he would pay so much. Bale is talented no doubt, nowhere near the level Ronaldo was when he was bought. 60-70M is already pushing the limit for Bale's fee. If CR7 leaves then Bale will be needed for sure. Although imagine both playing in the same team in opposite wings :O

Yeah, I'd love to see Bale on the right and CR on the left. :)

But the most I'd be willing to pay for Bale is 40 Million Euros (not pounds). Bale may be very talented, but I don't want to take the risk of him failing. Perez is just too desperate to get him so that he may be re-elected as RM president.
