Real Madrid bid €100 million for G. Bale!

I believe no player is irreplaceable and since Bale himself seems to be unsettled at Spurs, they should sell him. There is a lot Spurs can do with 100 million euros. This offer is ridiculously high, and Levy should think twice before refusing.

Article:

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to respond to Real Madrid’s €100 million bid for Gareth Bale, sources close to the process have told ESPN.

The situation is now at an increasingly tense impasse, with the Wales forward determined to go to the Bernabeu this summer, but Spurs chief executive Daniel Levy is just as strong in his refusal to sell.

Despite reports in the Spanish press being widely dismissed in the UK on Friday, it is understood that Madrid did indeed submit the offer and that Bale has also now made up his mind on leaving.

Aside from his long-held aspiration to play for Real, the 24-year-old feels it is finally time to experience regular football in the Champions League rather than potentially infrequent forays with Spurs.

Sources have also stated that there is now growing tension between Bale’s camp and Levy due to the London club's refusal to even entertain the possibility of a sale. Those close to the player also insist that there are no current negotiations to sign a new contract at White Hart Lane and he actively wants to leave this summer.

When asked about Bale after his side’s 6-0 win over South China, however, Villas-Boas refused to be drawn into a discussion. "I don't want to comment on anything like that," he said. "I cannot speak about anything."

Bale is not expected to play in Tottenham’s friendly against Monaco on August 3.

Excellent.

For real though... that\'s too much if it is true. I want Bale to stay in PL anyway because he\'s great to watch.
All the best to Madrid if they do manage to capture his signature.

Talk about spenders.. Can't they leave him in the EPL? But again, think about what AVB can do with 100 millions. We got Mata for £23.5m from Valencia and so on. Tottenham would be able to sign 4 quality players with such amount.

I wouldn't be so happy GunnerAFC..
It might make Tottenham stronger;
100m is a huge sum, thus they can buy 2 or 3 players that are in the top 10 for their position.
ex: Lewandowski ( 35m) Ozil (30m) and Alaba( 30m)

@Zakzook

I'm sorry mate, but Ozil is worth well over 40 million. Lewa will not be going to any team but Bayern, so he can be counted out as well. And Alaba for 30 million!? That's too much. :P

Meh, so my estimate is right anyway, it was an example but that's about the money that Lewa would be bought for anyways right?
imho Ozil is kind of over rated.
It was just an example to show what they can do
Here is another: Gundogan ( 30m) Gomes ( 30m) Rafael ( 25m)

@Zakzook

Ozil is not overrated. If you think he's overrated, you haven't been watching him play often enough. This man averages more than 30 assists a season. He's one of the most creative playmakers in the world.

And again, Rafael is not worth 25 million. A RB (being a defender) is worth much less than a striker.

And Lewandowski's transfer value is 39 M Euros by the way. Not 30.

Hmm, you keep missing the point, these are examples of what they can do, they are not exact but are not off by more than 10m in total.
Also, I put Lewa 35m not 30m

Both Coentrao and Di Maria would have to agree to the move as well though. Coentrao would probably be the easier to convince since he'd be 1st choice at Spurs instead of being behind Marcelo, is Portugese like AVB and I remember he said something about not being liked by RM fans or something.

AVB loves the 4-3-3 so these two would be very useful. Di Maria can play on the left wing IINM.

Levy knew they can't get any star players even they had 100M, so they will hold Bale til next season only sell and qualified for champion league.

But if Real is offering those two players (and they are willing to come) then that point is moot.

....none of you notice there anything fishy whatsoever about the fact that a few hours ago, it was 'certain' that Madrid had bid 100m euros, and now it's 'certain' that they've bid 60m euros and two players of indeterminate value?

Seriously, guys, I have still not seen this from any actually reputable source. Personally, everything thus far simply reads like THIS article:

Sure.. but you don't see so much smoke without any fire. And its not just the fail press dailymail, the sun, marca etc. reporting it, there are other stories as well. Obviously, no one is going to have access to the exact offer so there is going to be a lot of wild speculation as well, agents on both sides are going to supply non sense information. And with Zidane and Perez making very public their admiration for Bale; and Real's past history in the transfer market, it doesn't seem incomprehensible for them to make such an offer, does it? Obviously whether it is accepted or not, Bale is unhappy or not, that is all speculation.

What exactly do you consider a reputable source? Because the only truly reputable source is the official club website.
