RB Leipzig

So, am I the only one impressed by the recently promoted side RB Leipzig? I've already seen a few people call them the Leicester of Bundesliga and what with them being on the same number of point as Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, you can understand that people are calling them that. However, in Germany, RB Leipzig couldn't be considered farther away than Leicester. The club is widely know in germany as a plastic club as it was founded recently in 2009 and have little to no history to speak of. The maker of the club as you might have already guess is Red Bull but since in Germany, team cannot be represented by a product, RB Leipzig actually stand for RasenBallsport Leipzig. It is also why their logo is a tiny bit different to that of other Red Bull team around the world. So all in all, not really a Leicester and more of a Manchester City, wouldn't you say? Well, once again, not completely right because Leipzig invest in young talent instead of star, that is why the club barely got a any star player that are well known. Not that it mean their player aren't any good as most of them already played for their national team in the youth team or are still playing for it. So yeah, its an impressive team with a lot of ressource and potential to keep those kind of performance for a long time. As a neutral fan, I couldn't be happier to see another team challenge one of the top name of the game. Anyway, if you curious to know more about them, I recomend reading their Wikipedia page as they already got tons of info on them there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RB_Leipzig
And don't forget to share your thought on the matter. ;P

Few teams in Europe could be compared to Bayern then.

Few? I can count them in fingers to be honest.

So again Bayern will benefit by facing more and more tougher oppositions even not at their level but close to theirs.

Amazing win today in BayArena with a bit of luck. Top of the table in Germany, over Bayern Munich. What can a football fan want? Hope they'll keep this going.

Yes, they were only founded 7 years ago and have come up 5 divisions since, but they deserve a lot of respect. Look at their squad, apart from Werner, Selke, the Scottish Burke and Sami's brother Rani Khedira, they have players we didn't really know of before this season. They haven't abused their money with huge signings. They are a young hungry team with a fantastic manager, playing a lovely brand of football and sticking to their philosophy.

They basically created Joshua Kimmich as well.

personal opinion, hate it when people bring up "history" to judge a team .. the so called history-less teams are making their history now :)

Actually Leipzig's management is pretty smart, getting Werner for only €10mil is incredible business, knowing that prior to that he had great form and was wide-known for like 2 seasons. Also they converted him to striker which was great step. I honestly don't understand why people go against clubs planning their future. So many people started hating Forsberg and Selke when they moved to Leipzig, and look at them now. Forsberg arguably one of best players in Bundesliga, and Selke is way better and serious player than in Werder.

Haven't really seen them play this season, but a team that has beaten Dortmund and Bayer and currently have a 3 point lead over Bayern Munich are obviously doing something right.
