Is he both footed?

I wasn't a fan of the shadow but it all makes sense now.

Yep. He's naturally ambidextrous. Just like David Villa, Pedro, Sneijder, etc. It's different from Cristiano Ronaldo's two-footed capability, which comes from practice, not natural talent.
