It's also probably because FootyRoom isn't a "device-friendly" website, if you want to call it that. The videos on FootyRoom will just never work on devices like Apple products (excluding laptops of course).
Im a techsavvy guy here, so ill explain. iPads doesnt support flash, so any flash videos (like most of footyroom videos) wont work. Youtube, facebook videos, dailymotion and other video players that support html5 works on the iPad because iPad supports html5 videos.
The reason why the iPad doesnt support flash is because flash is a battery killer and uses a lot of horse power. Apple could support flash if they wanted to but the videos will probably be laggy and its going to be a battery killer.
Edit: If you really want flash, you can either jailbreak and find a tweak that allows you to watch a flash video.
Or you can download an app on the app store that allows flash on their browser.
@Dynastian98
Rather than footyroom, it's more like the video player that footyroom uses is not mobile friendly.
@Footaholic, heavenduel is right. Download the app "Puffin Web Browser" and use that instead of Safari. It is one of the better flash browsers I've used.
The reason why the iPad doesn't support flash isn't because it's a battery killer, as heavenduel said it. It's due to a "war" between Adobe and Apple which is still ongoing, and that war has, among other things, made Apple drop supporting Flash.
That's the reason why you can't watch Flash videos, such as those on FootyRoom, on an iPad.
thanks fellas. so if I download google chrome app and use that instead of safari would that fix it?
@Foota
No, I don't think GC will fix it, because it's pretty similar to Safari. Best to use TheGame's suggestion.
@Golden the reason why the war between Adobe and Apple happened in the first place is because of the problems flash had like I addressed above.....
I just received an ipad 4 as a gift from my family. so far, I have enjoyed its unique simplicity and elegance. However, i have noticed that none of the highlight videos on FR seems to work. I am not very tech savvy but I know that the ipad doesnt have the processing power of a good laptop. is this why? if so, the only thing thats confusing me is that im able to watch youtube videos with it. so shouldnt it affect all video files eqyally?
Is there any remedy for thisproblem?
thanks in advance
