Hey. If FC Porto B win Segunda, they will not get promoted as FC Porto is already in Primeira. The team after will get promoted instead.
Barca b would would be in la liga then.
It gets confusing when I read that some reserve teams are allowed to play in the same league as their senior team and even competed in domestic cup competitions.
@liomessi10
lol I guess you wouldn't also mind seeing Barca vs Barca B in a Copa Del Ray final XD
@DarthFooty Exactly.
2 years ago, 1461 Trabzon finished 3rd in 2nd division but was not accepted to play Play-off games since Trabzonspor plays in the 1st division. Therefore they have not promoted and relegated next season after losing their players to Trabzonspor.
But they play in 2nd division again this year.
Wait, what happens if, for example, Porto get relegated to 2nd division and Porto B is not getting promoted? Porto are not allowed to to get relegated? I know teams like barca, real, proto are not getting relegated, but I'm just asking out of curiosity.
Relegation will not be prevented in the same way as promotion, so if Porto were to get relegated, Porto B would be relegated to third division (very unfortunate, but that's the rules).
@novaruk no I wouldn't mind but barca a should lend barca b half of the players to make things more interesting.
@VAMOSBenfica it is unfortunate indeed, the club would get a double relegation for 1 team's bad results, Thanks for letting me know :)
As the title said, I still doesn't know much about this stuff. As you all know or didn't know, FC Porto B is currently leading at the 1st spot in Segunda Liga (2nd division in Portugal). So, my question is, what will happen if, if, FC Porto B ever win the Segunda Liga? Will another team from Segunda Liga takes their place?
That's all, thank you
