Predictions for 2013-14 standings and top scorers? (EPL. La Liga. Serie A. Bundesliga)
Dynastian98 11 years ago
Real Madrid 483 7140

RULES RULES RULES ::

La Liga: Do NOT put REAL MADRID/BARCELONA on your predictions for the standings. We already know that they're going to be the top two. I'm more interested in your opinions on top 3-7 for La Liga. If you don't know much about La Liga, top 3-5 is fine.

Same with top scorers. Do NOT put CR7/LEO. Put the next THREE top scorers.

EPL: Put the top SIX in the standings. This will create arguments, as no one knows how Chelsea, City, and United will do with their new managers. But nevertheless, you have EVERY RIGHT to believe your team will win the league (unless you're an Arsenal, Spurs, or Liverpool fan, which is unrealistic).

Top scorers: no limitations. Just put 3 players you think have the chance of being the top scorer.

BUNDESLIGA: Just put the top 4 or top 5.

Top scorers: no limitations. Just put 3 players you think have the chance of being the top scorer.

SERIE A: Put the top 5.

Top scorers: no limitations. Just put 3 players you think have the chance of being the top scorer.

Enjoy ~ :)

So many people think Liverpool will finish 6th :'(((((((( I think that if Suarez stays, a top 4 finish is quite possible

so:

  1. Chelsea (it's definitely Chelsea's year)

  2. Manchester United (although united have changed managers, the squad is still the same, but Sir Alex leaving will no doubt decrease the confidence of the squad - that's how good he was. But the fact remains that David Moyes would not have been chosen to succeed him, if he wasn't right for the job! That's what people need to understand)

  3. Manchester City

  4. Arsenal/Tottenham (it's too hard to decide whether Arsenal or Tottenham will finish fourth and fifth)

  5. Arsenal/Tottenham

  6. Liverpool - again, no champions league

And btw, Suarez looks set to leave, so we probably will finish sixth :(

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Sociedad DO make it to the quarters of the CL. But that's probably the farthest they could go.

But I think you're taking a lot of credit away from English teams there Knibis. Only 1 ENG team in the quarters and 4 SPA teams? I'd say you should split it to more like 3 ENG teams and 2 SPA teams, most likely United, City, Chelsea, Madrid, and Barcelona. The remaining three would most likely be Juventus, Bayern, and Dortmund.

@ vendetta those same lame excuses you got for us again. Always " we have hard schedules " Remember we played Liverpool, Dortmund and United in a WEEK and managed 6 points. People said how Arsenal would struggle in November and we will crumble back to 4th and yet we are still 1st 4 ahead chelsea, 7 ahead Liverpool, 9 ahead united and city and 10 ahead of spurs. Also the fact that we had lost Walcott and Cazorla so early in the season and we are yet to receive Oxlade chamberlain and Podolski back from injury why not??? We have depth, maybe not as good as city and chelsea but its decent enough for a title winning team.
I know many people think we haven't played a top club yet most these top clubs have lost or performed poor vs bottom clubs E.G chelsea 2-2 west brom ( chelsea clearly deserved to lose ), sunderland 1-0 city, United 1-2 west brom, hull 3-1 liverpool. Yet we have beaten the bottom teams atleast we beat the bottom teams unlike other top teams who cant manage to even beat the team at the bottom. We have been consistent unlike others and we 100% deserve to be top. Argument closed. But yeh your right season is not over long way to go, but hopefully we win some silverware COYG

To be fair, as one of the folks who believed that Arsenal would slip back down by now, I have to say:

I was wrong.

Wenger really has done a number on this team, and Arsenal are truly title contenders.

"i was wrong"? of-course noone can be right on everything even if they guess the most obvious team on every position when you are guessing on a large number of teams it is bound to happen unexpected things

its all the law of probability

Pfft we did those predictions before the end of the transfer window :) If I knew that Ozil will join Arsenal I would have put Arsenal on (2nd/3rd) position and not 5th. If Wenger didn't sign Ozil I would have stayed at my word. but then Manchester United.. I thought they would make it 2nd somehow. Anyway, we should not forget that anything could happen, there are still a (.......24.......) matches left. and if Arsenal win the title, I wouldn't be mad. It's about time for them to finally win the title, but I highly doubt it. Good luck to everyone and may the one who deserve it win the title this season.
