haha he has been shit this season
@knibis: What about Banenga? Some Chelsea fans tell me who could actually be a great option for Chelsea's pivot and he is not known much. Is he underrated by some?
He wont be sold said our new president
, he is our best player and one of the best midfielders in the world when he is not injured, Argentinian Xavi :)
Soldado is nowhere near banega in class even though they dont play in the same position...
Banega is average. There's a reason why he has only been capped 17 times in the last 5 years, for Argentina who, let's face it, have not not had a wealth of fantastic options to keep him out in that time period. He's overrated because he plays against terrible defenses who do not put in proper challenges.
You know who needs to be more known? Mousa Dembele.
Banega is average.
You know who needs to be more known? Moussa Dembele.
Sami Khedira as well, while we're on the topic of midfielders. Banega, as Lodatz said, is average. No, he is not Xavi. di Maria and Messi are far better playmakers from Argentina. Even his own Argentinian teammate, Tino Costa, is a better player than him. Dembele is a good midfielder though. I don't watch enough of Tottenham to comment on him more, but when I have, he's performed well.
Madrid fans will be the firs to tell you how important Sami is to our team. He's the physical presence beside Alonso who runs up and down the pitch making interceptions, tackles, through balls, and taking shots. He's an unusually good dribbler when he decides to run up with the ball, and is a good defending midfielder, especially when you want a physical presence. Although I would state his weak point to be the lack of ability to be a pivot player, like Alonso or Busquets. Sami may be a decent play-maker, but he is miles behind Alonso and Busquets in his passing. If he improves on that, he may have a good shot at being one of the premier defensive midfielders in the world.
@Lodatz
More like Banega does WELL against poor defenses. When he DOES come up against a decent defense in Spain, he doesn't perform. I've never seen him do well against Real Madrid. EVER. He just simply gets shut down the moment he picks up the ball. Tino Costa, on the other hand, is a constant threat. Even Roberto Soldado does incredibly well against just about any team, even with limited chances.
@Lodatz keep that opinion to yourself, probably never even watch a full match with this genius, oh and what? Bale is worth 90 Milion, great player but 50 max...
I feel for these poor souls who never get to know about football
@knibis
Why on Earth are you dragging Bale into this conversation? We all know Bale is not worth 90 Million. Even I myself would pay 30 Million max. for Gareth Bale. But of course, Perez wants to splash the cash. The only reason he promises 85 Million + for Bale is so that he gets re-elected as RM president this year (getting Bale will help him receive more votes), and because he's desperate to get a new forward after Neymar has moved to Barcelona.
And at the same time, Lodatz may not have watched too many games with Banega, but I HAVE. And I can tell you that Banega is overrated from your words. He's an average player, nothing more. If he was as good as you claim him to be, do you think he'd still be playing for Valencia? Especially when the only two teams that can attract players in Spain are RM and Barca?
Lodatz, keep claiming La Liga defending sucks when both the BPL and La Liga have almost the same average of goals conceded. Between the 20 BPL teams the average goals conceded is 53.15 while La Liga's 20 teams conceded an average of 54.55 goals. So the defending you seem to think is so bad, is almost equal to BPL. Stats wise, of course.
Back on topic, Soldado, Reus, Gundogan and Kuba.
+1 wolfie
my choice : chicharito, griezmann,Grenier,Payet.
+1 wolfie
Wayne Routledge.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Shakhtar Donetsk
Don't really like him, but Afellay
It's always hilarious watching knibis trying to claim that others don't know anything about football. Makes me smile.
But, let's put his assertion to the test: he's one of the best midfielders in the world, on his day, eh? Well, let's list some:
Xavi, Silva, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Iniesta, Fabregas, Gotze, Schweinsteiger, Alonso, Lampard, Reus, Toure, Modric, Isco, Moutinho, Pirlo, Sneijder...
Who is Banega supposed to be better than, to be 'one of the best'? See if he can answer without 'disrespecting' another player. ;) It's just more blinkered nonsense, like when he claimed that both of Valencia's keepers are 'world class'. He's just a little teenager who doesn't understand the sport he's only just started paying attention to.
@raimondo: Sorry, but no, I'm not buying that. Not when Barca and Real are taking turns season after season breaking scoring and points records against the rest of La Liga, and yet still struggling when facing the Top 4 of the PL. You can see it every time you watch Spanish games; there's no challenges coming in when in England most of the attacks would be shut down at once.
It's just the truth, dude.
@Dynast: yes, that's it exactly.
Lodatz Nice one :)
@DonAndres thnx for making me discover all those great players :)
