yep, BRING ON THE BIG BOYS!
LOL...losing the trophies 1 by 1... let them fly high, the higher they fly, the harder they fall
^ like united has something to look forward to this season. Avoid relegation first then talk.
@Kirkos & kambingku
Okay, this thread was going great until the hate started coming on. Please don't turn this thread into a mess of unnecessary hatred. ._\.
Haha the title of the thread is Poor, Poor Arsenal after all...
^ I posted that more due to sympathy than anything else. I realized that their players would be dead tired after this string of fixtures, so that's why I used that title. :P
I know, it's just ironic is all.
I wouldn't pay much attention to kambingku anyhow. this character appears out of the blue to say something of no importance, we're just feeding a troll here.
ops, i hit some nerves there...dont be americans please..
About time Arsenal started facing tough teams.
I even dont know what trophy is this ? how many trophies does England have ?
@tiki: 3.
The league, the FA Cup (the equivalent of Copa del Rey), and then the league cup (currently called the Capitol One Cup, because Capitol One are sponsoring it).
Oh, and also the Charity Shield, which is our version of the Super Cup, but no-one gives a crap about that one.
So, I guess 4, actually.

If you're interested, basically the FA Cup is open to every team in the entirety of the English league system, from the Premier League all the way down to the Conference (5 leagues below the PL).
The league cup is only open to the Premier League and the Championship (our Segunda Division).
So, maybe the league cup is really our Copa del Rey, and the FA Cup is just unique...
Thank you for the explanation, i can see clearer. Its like in France, 1 cup is missing in Spain, Copa del rey give opportunity to all Spanish league system, but there is no Liga cup. So the FA cup is the equivalent of Copa Del rey.
Capital One Cup is usually the competition where you play your youth players. The result last night was embarrassing, but what can I say. Chelsea's squad depth is amazing. Their B team has mata, etoo, david luiz, essien, willian ?? They could probably finish top 4 with these players.
Anyways, I'm not too upset, I'd rather get out of the league cup now than in the semis or in the final. Now let's focus on the PL and on Liverpool.
Too bad that the Gunners are out so early in the competition :(
I think it's good that we're out from 1 competition (probably the lowest valuable) our team don't have that much players as City or Chelsea to play in 4 competitions...
^ The reward for winning the FA Cup is also considerably higher than that of winning the Capitol One Cup.
Agreed quikzyyy. Means more rest time for the goon squad.
I'm a bit disapointed of what I'm hearing. You guys arsenal fans don't give a fuck about a compeition? Come on, 60 000 people went there so you can't say that. How it must be for the players then?
@expertfootball11 as a EXPERT maybe you should know it. If you look at the teams like Chelsea or City and then compare them to Arsenal, you can see that we don't have that much players on this level (Lodatz once explained this about depth of squads). In recent years we were trying to be successful in all competitions, and maybe that was the problem. Battling on every front and then loosing all of them in short time.
This is one hell of a schedule.
