So who do you think deserves player of the year in the bpl ? i have 3 choices Suarez or Rvp or Mata.

The reason i say these 3 is becaus... Suarez is Top Scorer in bpl...Mata is top assists... Rvp is in the middle of both.

Now some of you think Rvp doesnt deserve it but think about it. 19 goals and 8 assists , yes his been in a gold drought but thats understandable as his in a new club.

Suarez has been brillant with the goals and everything. 22 goals and 4 assists , been brilliant but he doesnt play great in every game , and i belive if he did he would of been the best player in bpl every year.

Mata has been beast this season. 10 goals and 13 assists hasnt scored alot but his been assisting his team and is currently hightest assist in the bpl.

Who do you think deserves it ??

I understand now that Evra is at the top but his rank says number 5. Is that just a messed rank by EA?

I think maybe that's his rank this week or something, and the list is based on the overall cumulative season index score. So a player who was ranked 2 for say 4 weeks would have a higher score than someone who was 1 for two weeks and 10 for two.

Also, Leighton Baines has almost as many points while his team has won significantly less matches, which makes him by far the best defender IMO.

rvp lead us to 20th title .

@mladen: Although he contributed heavily to your 20th title *cringes*, an EPL player of the year has to perform through the WHOLE season. RVP was great at the start of the season, but that dip in form really took him away from the chance of EPL Player of The Year or the EPL Golden Boot.

I'd say the real contenders will go down to Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez. Remember, it's not just about stats. Bale may not score as much as Suarez, but that's because he plays as a winger, whereas Suarez as a striker.

That being said, Suarez is literally the heart of Liverpool now. Liverpool will be nothing if Suarez leaves. He's been phenomenal this season, and it will be a disgrace if his hard work is ignored just because of his antics. For me, Luis Suarez deserves the BPL Player of the Season more than anyone else.

For me it has to be Juan Mata hes been beast this year hes scored loads of epic goals and was one of the top assist makers this year, fair play to him.

You do realize that Suarez would have more than 10 assists if only his team mates were more clinical...

And, if you look at it another way, RVP has scored 27% of United's goals in the EPL this season, whereas Suarez has scored 37%. Quite a bit of a difference. And RVP is also surrounded by world class players like Giggs, Rooney, Carrick, and Hernandez, whereas the best Suarez has is Steven Gerrard to support him. He basically does everything for Liverpool on his own.

I agree. Who does Suarez have? Gerard? Coutinho? And think about how many players RVP has.

Luis Suarez. I can't imagine Liverpool these days without this player. He got awesome season and overall he's better than RVP in the moment. 

Suarez or Vertonghen
