This is the match in which both Cech and Cudicini got injured...Till now, Cech still need to wear a protective stuff on his head during match. John Terry had to be the GK for the few minutes that left.

Was Cech that good before the injury? I dont remember much about him playing while not wearing the protective stuff...

Chelsea would have never won the UCL or recent EPLs without him on the back, he's been one of the greatest goalkeepers in the league for a long time now and he is still arguably the best.

@Tuanis Yes he won many individual awards before joining Chelsea and he won Best goalkeeper in the French league. But at Chelsea he won a lot more.

Thibaut Courtois may be winning awards left, right, front, center, in Spain, in Belgium, and probably on Mars as well, but Petr Čech is no slouch in that department either and he's been at it for much longer than the brashly confident young man has. In fairness, Čech tends to have somewhat worse competition for these things.
