Paul Pogba wants a mind-blowing amount of money to stay at Man United

Paul Pogba has reportedly told Manchester United that he wants an astonishing €650,000 (£600,000) a week deal to stay at the club.

The Frenchman pushed to leave Old Trafford over the summer, admitting back in June that he wanted to “pursue a new challenge”.

Ultimately, though, a potential move to Real Madrid or Juventus failed to materialise.

Now a story in Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed that contract talks between the player and United have begun, with the Red Devils looking to nail down their most marketable star.

Negotiations have got off to a testy start however, with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola telling the club that his client wants €650,000-per-week if he is to remain beyond his current deal, which ends in 2022.

That equates to €35m per year, which would make Pogba one of the best-paid sportspeople in the world and is €4m more than Cristiano Ronaldo earns at Juventus.

Pogba is a doubt United’s Premier League clash with Arsenal on Monday after aggravating an ankle injury in their EFL Cup win over Rochdale in midweek.

Thoughts?

Does he really think he is Messi or Ronaldo? I mean I don't blame him, the current United seem not ambitions enough to be at the top, so the only way to stay is money, else he wants to leave.

The more he talks the more you see why Sir. Alex didn't want him to play for the club.

“pursue a new challenge”

Wait what? Did he even finished the 1st challenge with ManU to even pursue a new one?

Can’t blame the guy. Even being a fan should be weekly paid in wages.

He's got 3 years on his current deal, there is no reason to negotiate a contact now, which means this story is hot air.

Hot air is what forces atoms to start moving at faster rate thus creating further disturbance in the atmosphere around Old Trafford ground which in the end will collide with Pogbas brain cells igniting and escalating unavoidable exit. My bet is next transfer window in Winter ( unlikely) or Summer ( very likely)

Raiola's puppets always have an overrated self esteem, I don't blame them, they just follow their master, and he's a specialist to find brilliant players with low IQ...

He clearly want to leave asap, the whole new challenge thing is an excuse to make desired departure look good. He know thing aren't going well at United and despite thing looking a bit better with Ole at first, he realize the plan has become to build for the future. Something tell me though that at 26, he doesn't want to wait 3 or 4 year for a shot at winning some kind of trophy. His demand are obviously only there to try and get something out of his stay at Manchester.

In short, his message to United is: "either you make me filthy rich or you let me leave."

@Tuan United will propably try to keep him as long as possible without having to make him sign a new contract. Would be the best move for me. He got a contract until summer 2021, so I guess you could sell him for a decent amount to Real next summer.

Logical demand : After winning back to back CL and PL, being the best player and winning the last 2 BO contest, he should really think to be one of the best paid players ever. Wonder why Raiola didnt think of it before XD

Lol I think 650,000 demand is pretty high for what he is bringing to the club in the first place. No explanation but is that he wants to leave badly. On the other hand, United don't have a proper midfields, so he is trying to make the best out of the situation.
