The news broke today that the Toon boss, as well as John Carver, Steve Stone and Andy Woodman have signed a deal that will keep them at the club until the end of the 2019/20 season.

That is a Ridiculous contract. The length is probably just pre-emptive measure against anyone might want to whisk Pardew away in the future. Knowing Mike Cashley this is no guarantee. Still a great piece of business by Pardew's agents. Really great.

Teams need coaches to stay for very long periods of times. It's great for NC. They have been very good this couple of seasons
