Ozil out for 10-12 weeks

Ozil had an MRI scan on his knee in germany, and the results came in 1 hour ago. Ligament problem, he's out for up to 3 months. At this point it's getting ridiculous. I know manutd have had troubles with injuries too, but arsenal are clearly the best in that department. What's the idea ? Did we build the emirates on sacred grounds ? Did wenger sell the club's soul for one unbeaten season ? We hired a guy named forsythe this summer said to be the best physio in the world. Since the start of the season, Giroud broke his foot, Debuchy had surgery on his ankle, arteta played like 3 games, ramsey got injured for a month, monreal and gibbs have been both fit only once, this was last weekend. Ospina has been fit for 3 games, played in 2 of them and is injured again since this weekend. When you see the retarded injuries we're getting, how can it be anything but bad luck ? And it's been going for as long as I can remember. I've lost all my optimism, we can't compete for anything with a crooked squad, so I hope we make top 4, and we get a good cup run. End of rant, fuck this.

This is really becoming pathetic and I've got a feeling it involves Wenger somehow. Maybe he pushes them too far in training? I don't know but a manager should have noticed this pattern ages ago.

If Sanchez gets injured as well in the next month then it's all over for Arsenal this season imo. Let's hope he doesn't, I enjoy seeing him wreck defenses.

I don't even know what to say, injuries are our biggest rival. Just, maybe Diaby will shine!

Just take RVP for example. He was almost always injured at Arsenal. When he came to United, he hasn't had a long-term injury yet. Either their being pushed too hard, or they are not properly cooling down or it's just shi* luck.

Özil's injury history:
Schalke: Out for 7 days in total
Bremen: 29 days
Real Madrid: 0 days
Arsenal: 133 (included. latest injury)

Got this from someone. If its true, its Wengers fault. He played so many 90min games w/o rest. Inevitable injury.

Wow, 0 days of injury at Real Madrid. That's very impressive from Mourinho and our physio.

An interesting point I found in the comments section of a Mesut Ozil injury article.

"Ozil is out of position and needs to see the ball on every single attack. Arsenal fans that criticize his form need only to look at Madrid Mesut. Not just a YouTube video, but go watch a full game, he uses players as a wall to bounce the ball off of them and back to himself.

In England, at least from what I've heard, they don't understand the type of player Ozil is. The rest of Europe understands that Ozil isn't going to dribble past you like Messi, he's not going to out run you like Ronaldo, and he's not going to play defense and attack like YaYa.

Mesut is a special player because he has maybe more weaknesses than strengths but his strengths are incredibly rare. His touch, his vision, his body feints; you won't see this type of player after his time is up and only saw it in classic #10s like Zidane, Figo( when he was older), and someone like Riquelme. Arsenal also had a legend who plays like Ozil, you would think Wenger would look at how he used Bergkamp and use Ozil the same way.

I'm not a barcelona or bayern fan but Ozil would be absolutely wonderful with these two teams. Juventus would also be perfect, with strong holding midfielders and guys who make runs into the box. The media said he would be a perfect fit into arsenals system but I knew it would not work; there are too many #10 wannabes on Arsenal. Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Sanchez, Ox: all players that invade the spaces in which Ozil wants to operate. And wenger must've seen when Mourinho used Ozil on the wings but this wasn't as a winger but as a playmaker who would drift inside with the ball.

The only reason Ozil was on the wings with madrid was to get the ball easier and pick out passes. He was a free roamer on that team but Wenger thinks Ozil should play in one position. Let Ozil do what he wants, if he wants to walk around for 70 minutes, let him do it.

Ozil isn't dreaming on the field anymore because he has too many responsibilities at Arsenal. Track back, defend this guy, go to your position, pass to Sanchez or Welbeck.. LET THE GUY DO HIS OWN THING. Wasted world class, classic number 10 at Arsenal. . Last of a dieing breed."

@Dynastian. Do they right this stuff as excuses for certain players? Due to injuries, other players just have to play beyond their means and thats when crap happens. Are players that one dimensional now that they cant adapt to playing to a team structure. No disrespect to Ozil, I think he's an awesome player and integral cog in the National team, but adapt an overcome I say.

@Dynastian I agree with you except that Sanchez & Ox are wings and not CAM players. Yes our problem is we have too much players for this position while no one for CDM. We all probably wonder why our best CAM is playing on the wing.
And about tracking back and defending that's not excuse, he's not defending neither tracking back. His defensive work rate is minimal. But I bet we all want to know, WHY IS OZIL STILL PLAYING LEFT WING, when he's invisible.
