Oldie Eleven

I have listed a starting eleven composed of world class footballers aged 30+. I have heard footballers prime at about 25-28, and football careers end at 30. These guys prove it does not have to be the case. They are either experiencing their best form if not some of their best.

Zlatan (32)

Ribery(31) Pirlo(35) Robben(30)

X.Alonso(32) Y.Toure(31)

Lahm(30) Terry(33) Vidic(32) Alves(31)

Buffon(36)

Subs: Gerrard(33), Casillas(33), Tevez(30)

Comment players I've left out, if you disagree with the lineup etc.

Sagna for Dani Alves ? How funny is this XD.
Xavi instead of Gerrard at subs, the XI seems good for me, Vidic form is the only problem : I would put Miranda (30) or Cahill.

^ people can have opinions, I find it funny that you think Xavi should go instead of Gerrard...
And both Miranda and Cahill are under 30 :)

I think its a decent squad overall, I would just change Pirlo for Gerrard. Should consider RVP in the bench at least.

^ Indeed, everyone can have his opinion but it was a funny one to me :) i never rated Sagna that high, 0 technical stuff and not enough accurate, my opinion.

You can find it funny no problem for Xavi :) , he never had the recognition despite his palmares.
Ok about Cahill 29, Miranda is 30yo.

I rated Vidic high, but didnt he drop form this season ?

Vidic actually increased his form, obviously not getting yet near his prime, but he was doing great this season. Thats why many of us cant understand why he had to leave in such a crucial time.
There should be an over 30 defender who's better than Vidic right now but I just can't come up with one...

I thought Cahil was 28 and miranda 29... I shouldn't trust Wiki that much..

Nevermind maybe Dante, i cant tell you if he is better. I didnt see Vidic playing that much recently, i followed more Liverpool, ManCity, Arsenal and Everton this season.

^ Sagna is a proper right back.. while Dani is just an RM/RW being put at RB for no reason. At least in my opinion. Also Sagna is the most consistent right back in the world over the last 5 years.

I am not naysaying most of the players you guys are suggesting. The lineup just consists of players I had in mind. Now that you remind me, RVP, for example, should hands down be on the list in my opinion. On the other hand, Xavi is in great form for many players, but I think he's personally had much better days.

Ivanovic at RB would be a better option.

Scary to think that Cristiano Ronaldo is almost 30, and is still banging in 50+ goals per season.

@dynastian, scary to think that we have less than 10 years of ronaldo left.
