^San Iker saved our butts not Lopez. We lost the Copa Del Rey finale two seasons ago because of Lopez and he failed so many times also vs Barca. Mourinho bought him because we needed a better GK than Ádan and Casillas was injured.

Iker returned from his injury last season, why did he not replace Lopez back then

@netsten, Funny thing was that Belgium and Courtios were too crap. U cant blame Casillas for what he did at the World Cup, it wasnt his fault. You should forgive him because Casillas is a nice and respective person. He is still for me the best keeper in the world. His form will come back this season you will see.

@Iraqi What's the point about Courtois or Belgium here ? Belgium had a better competition than Spain or Casillas, but that's not the point here. Don't get me wrong, I respect Casillas, he's one of my favourite player from the Real Madrid since a long time, and he's an awesome keeper.

Finally Navas is where he deserves to be.

I hope Navas gets some playing time this season, Casillas is still and will always be the angel of Madrid.

Lopez was a great keeper, but was pretty poor last season, and cost us the Copa del Rey final in 2013. Nevertheless, I'm grateful for his service.

Navas should take #1 over Casillas. Navas is an outstanding keeper, and we can not buy him only to put him in the bench behind our long-serving captain. Iker is a legend, but his recent form since the Champions League final has not been well at all, and will suggest that Iker needs to earn his place over Navas again.

Diego Lopez deserves a tribute, came from nowhere, performed under the biggest pressure a GK can have with a living legend on the bench, perfect communication, he gave more than everything to his Club and thats enough for me to be well respected.
Hope he will sign a good contract in a big club.

@iraqi dude lopez was amazing that he was even getting compared to iker, mourinho knew he had potential and dude a real madrid fan wont say that he's happy that one of our star players of the last two season left in fact any madrid player who left needs the utmost respect for his dedication to the badge on his chest
