But Falcao can score goals from anywhere. Doesn't matter if his movement outside the box isn't as good as his other areas, but he is still better than almost all strikers in the PL (aside from RVP, who is roughly equal with him).

That's why I believe it's fake. Who wouldn't go for Falcao?
^ I'd actually personally prefer a club raising players themselves rather than buying the best in the world. I HATED the Galacticos policy. Long gone was our days of Hierro, Raul, and Butragueno, and on came the days of "Galacticos". It just didn't fit in well with the loyalty our past players had shown. That's why I'd prefer Chelsea raise Lukaku and whichever young striker ends up being his back-up, than having them buy Falcao.
Well yeah that's what I would like but we can't seriously be title contenders with the strike force of Lukaku, Ba and Torres. Lukaku will be played the most out of our three strikers but that's not enough for a world class strike-force If the rumors swirling around about Eto'o possibly could join Eto'o for free than I wouldn't mind signing him for a one/two year contract.
@Ven
But that means that you'd HAVE to offload at least one striker. You can't just let Ba sit there and eat up the cash. What's more is that Eto'o has high wage demands, especially since his time with Anzhi. So you'll really have to offload either Fernando or Demba if you want to make room for Eto'o.
And have faith in your club, mate. Rome wasn't built in a day, and Chelsea FC wasn't either. The young and promising squad you see today will end up blossoming into a true world-class team. Mark my words. It's okay if Mourinho doesn't win anything this season. It just means that the team will be all that much more hungrier and experienced next season. Your current squad has time on their side, and they can use it to rake in the trophies one after the other in a few years.
I would offload Ba for Eto'o immediately. Hell, I'll drag him to whatever team wants him personally. Ba is having knee issues that constantly weaken his speed and are getting worse and worse. Also, Eto'o doesn't really want high wages. According to reports in Italy, Eto'o wants 6 million a year.
By now actually most Chelsea fans understand we wont win the EPL in Jose's first season unless Pellegrini fails badly and the pressure gets to him. But with the squad we have we should still finish second and get some great cup runs, and sadly Lukaku, who I have a lot of faith in (ask Alex :P), can't play every game.
Well 6 M a year is certainly something Chelsea can easily afford. If what you say is correct, I think Chelsea should make a move immediately. Before Wenger gets any ideas.
Just kidding. I'll be surprised if Wenger spends any money at all this summer. Watch it end up being like that last deadline day for Arsenal. Poor, poor Gunner fans.
Had to bring it up.
That one was a beauty. The days when Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Deco, Henry, Messi, Puyol, Abidal, Xavi, Iniesta, Yaya Toure, Zambrotta, Milito and co. were playing at Barcelona were the best. I had never seen a better (club) team. Say what you will, I still think Barcelona have declined from Ronaldinho's time.
@V Monaco ? Thanks for the .gif >> Awesome _°_
Eto'o worth the try.
@Dynastian: Don't forget Deco! People talk about how Barcelona from 2008-2012 were the best Barcelona ever, but I believe the Barcelona squad Dynastian named were the better squad. Imagine how good they would be if Guardiola (with the same age and the same experience from '09) managed that Barcelona? They'd be unstoppable.
@Ven
Oh, pooh. I forgot Deco. :(
Ah well. At least there's an edit button. :)
Great video Netsten. Thanks for sharing. But I think his #2 should be #1 because that was just a sublime touch.
#2 is just legen...wait for it...It's one of the best of all time...dary.
haha I know V :) anyways I think we are still working on signing Rooney even if we got Eto'o. and I believe that West ham will sign Ba before 2nd of September if they can afford his wage. other rumors says that Valencia might request a loan for Ba or Torres but I'm not sure if they can afford him either. Eto'o is a world-class striker even at 32 old. I don't think we will pay his wage 350k a week he is the world's top earning footballer I think we will only sign him if he accepts a wage of 100k a week up to 200k since we will only need him for 1 or 2 years maximum.
Roman Abramovich is keeping track of Chelsea's next superstar signings on a specially adapted personalised iPad.
Sportsmail can reveal Chelsea's owner has become infatuated with the device and is constantly monitoring progress reports around the world.
It means Abramovich can keep track of scouting across the world from his enormous boat Eclipse or whenever he is in the air on his Boeing 737 jet.
The system is constantly updated in a database at Stamford Bridge and Abramovich is one of only a select number of people who can access the system.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes the scouting system is the most advanced in world football - better than previous clubs Real Madrid, Porto and Inter Milan.
Thousands of players are constantly under assessment by the club's network of scouts all over the world.
Chelsea will only consider a player if scouts score them 90 per cent or more in various areas of their game.
It's the reason Radamel Falcao was overlooked by Chelsea when his 'movement outside box' fell short of the magical 90 per cent minimum. But Andre Schurrle was deemed to be a good signing by the Bridge hierarchy.
