NEYMAR TO BARCELONA DONE... Details to follow.

As expected by most, it seems the Neymar to Barcelona deal has been completed.

Just saw this tweet:
"The group that owns part (40%) of Neymar's rights (DIS) revealed earlier that an agreement has been reached with FCB for 50M (20M to DIS)."

I cannot confirm that this source is 100% reliable, but given that Barcelona directors were in Brasil, and all the earlier talk of a pre-contract it seems to be happening.

Mind you, the tweet hasn't specified if that is in pounds or Euros. I would assume this is in Euros as the source was Spanish.

Ok, yes I confirmed it is in Euros. Not as expensive as some sources were quoting. Not cheap, mind you.

Although I'm a bit worried we may have another Ibrahimovic I have full faith in whoever my team buys. He's young and very gifted. Although being called extremely overrated, I think it's due to the fact that he has so much pressure on him. At Barca, he won't be the main man, which can give him a proper environment to develop to his full potential.

& the tweet came from @barcastuff which I've seen as very reliable over the past year. They never give BS and when they accidently do, they tweet to us that is was a false alarm.

Wow we dont need him. Actually we would rather get strong central forwards like lewandowski or falcao. I bet barca's board members didnt take a lesson from the match against munich.

All stylistic reservations withstanding, I think a few too many people are jumping on the "predestined failure" bandwagon. Let's give him a shot. The Brasil-based English correspondent Tim Vickery seems to think the world of this kid. Many others have as well. So lets wait and see if it transfers to Europe.

If that hasn't mellowed you out any, think about this possible forward line-up next year:

Neymar Messi Deulofeo

I'm actually pretty excited. Yes I don't really like him because of his dives but its gonna be interesting to see if he can perform on the big stage.

I'd rather pay 50 million for Ter Stegen and Thiago Silva. If he doesn't perform well we'll be a laughing stock of everyone, especially the media, and we already had Deulofeu too -_- It's all Sandro Rosell's fault. He's the shittiiest president in Barca's history.

@TheTruth

Honestly, you'd be better off with Hummels. Silva may be an established defender already, and the world's best, but Hummels is going to be up there in a few years. Not only is Hummels considerably younger, but he already plays in a similar style to Gerard Pique. He'll fit in perfectly into the tiki-taka system. And Silva is also going to cost a lot more than Hummels, as Silva still has many years left on his contract, and PSG is giving him a sh*tload of money.

@TheTruth and Dyn: I agree with both of your comments, but I still think we could do will Thiago Silva. And we definately need a goalkeeper... if that supposed 'Sell out' by Man City hopefully we can bag Hart...

@rama: I think the one area City will not be selling anyone, is the defense.
