Now the biggest Net spenders of the season from what i have listed are :

1- Manchester United : 173 M euros
2- Manchester City : 152 M euros
3- Chelsea : 126 M euros
4- Arsenal : 101 M euros
5- Barcelona : 96.5 M euros
6- Inter Milan : 80.5 M euros

well Inter there was quite surprising this transfer market, the rest was pretty logical considering this transfer window arrivals. I didnt make many teams like Spurs,Leicester, Villareal, Wolfsburg, Marseille, Monaco.... they wont change the rankings anyway.

Pretty disappointed with Barça transfer market, i would have signed half of these players and get better imo, well Gomes is good but im not a fanatic of his play, also Digne-Umtiti are some talents we could find at la Masia, Umtiti is not what i call an Established defender like Benatia or Hummels, players that respectively our CL rivals Juve and Bayern attracted. Bartra is at least Equal to Umtiti imo and i would have picked Nolito for 18M + Suarez for 3.3M kept Bartra and brought an established defender. Do Barça really need Gomes ? After Rafinha incredible Olympics with Brazil, Sergi Roberto Huge season, Arda back on track, the established Busquets/Rakitic, Iniesta our bonus Legend. Hope i wrong on the lads but clearly they are far fro spending effectively. 80M on Suarez was the deal, here its small amounts that look like Bargains....

What do you think on the rankings, on your team's transfermarket, on the players chosen.... Everything related to transfers is welcome.

I think that hopefully United won't have to spend a lot in a window for a while. We got four starters, and our squad should be ok. Arsenal ended up spending big, wonder what the Gunners lot here think of that.

Real Madrid earned money in a transfer window. Not something you see every decade.

I know Arsenal had paid a lot more than previously expected but I didn't expect them to be in the top four... oh dear, fourth place again, the irony. But on a more serious note, Inter have spend like mad man, great to see the new owner investing some money in already, let's hope its only a start because lets be sincere, if Inter keep doing what they did since the beggining of the season, its not gonna be enough to revive the glory day. :(

How did Sevilla get sarabia ror only 1m? He is worth at least 15 in todays money.

Barcelona, France 367 9768

Sevilla and the French connection with Ben Yedder, Nasri, Nzonzi, Rami, Tremoulinas and Kolodziejczak. Nasri will have fun :)
Inter kept Icardi wich was complicated knowing how rare are good strikers in the market, but i dont know if Joao Mario is worth that much, his Euro win is what ade him cost that much. theydidnt sign any defender, i dont know if it would be enough for this season.

Valencia got 100M by selling Gomes, Mustafi and Alcacer, getting Munir and Nani, interesting to see how the squad change will work.

Sevilla changing players again and again, now even the coach changed i wonder how they will behave this season.

I'm pretty surprised that we spent over 100M in one transfer window. Notice how Arsenal si again 4th
Pros: Happy with Xhaka, Holding, Mustafi, not sure what to think about Lucas Perez, to be said, I didn't even know someone like him played football before we were linked to him. But I'm going to give that lad a chance, hope he won't turn into next Gervinho. Wilshere and Chambers loan are great decisions.

Cons: What I'm not happy is when Arsenal is finishing the deals. Why not sign the players before the league starts so players can get to know each other, maybe we would have not conceded 4 in opening match while playing 2 kids on centerback. Campbell on loan, whoa. Arsene seriously got something against this guy, he was 2 times better than both Ox/Walcott combined last season and yet we keep both of them and loan Campbell, but at least he will play and not sit on bench.

Gnabry: Maybe other Arsenal fans will not agree with my decision but I think selling Gnabry was the right choice. I know he was fantastic on Olympics, but he was at Arsenal for a few years and just didn't made the impact. People may tell that he didn't had enough chances. If you can't get in when Ox/Walcott were freaking crap, what do you want.. Iwobi did it, Gnabry did not, but good luck, maybe we will once again cry how good you became outside Arsenal.

Man Utd had the best transfer window in my opinion, but maybe you could make a case for Juventus. We made some really strong statement signings, bringing back Pogba and signing two world-class players in Mkhitaryan and Zlatan. Bailly has already impressed and the squad looks set to challenge for titles.

Juventus did really well even though they lost Pogba and Morata, but they signed Pjanic, Alves, Higuain. All good players. Will expect them to reach far in CL again.

PSG has been saying they have Champions League ambitions but IMO they failed spectacularly in the transfer window. They lost Ibra and Luiz and signed no replacement. Cavani doesn't play well consistently at all, and Marquinhos has looked uncertain at times. They signed Ben Arfa, but they already have good midfielders. They needed to strengthen their attack and defence.

I heard that Nice signed Ballotelli, and I was shocked. Why would anybody sign this guy??

Real Madrid, Croatia 26 797

Borussia has made an excellent transfer window. Considering they have signed world class young players and earned themselves a little profit.

Juventus seems to have the strongest defense backline, from starters to subs. However, their attack also seems strong, dybala, Higuain and Cuadrado! Damn son, I won't be surprised if they go far in the UCL.

I would also like to give props to Sevilla, they made an excellent transfer, with Vazquez, Nasri and Sirigu I hope the best for them.

Bayren, just got even scarier, with Hummels in the defence, just to know, Bayrens weakess is their injury issue, Boateng was injured a lot, so hummels is an excellent buy. Also with Renato, a confident, young beast and Ancellotti as their coach...wow..tears are dropping.
Bayren look even scarier.

But all in all, Real Madrid would end up winning the UCL for the 12th time, so go and enjoy your new toys everyone :)

Barcelona, France 367 9768

@ray if you draw As Roma in round of 16, Wolfsburg in quarters, and Man City in semi finals, and win the final on pks then you have all your chances :)

Banter aside, for Balotelli case, I pointed his lack of motivation to achieve since the start but now he burned all his cards just like Hatem Ben Arfa last season, I think his choice was smart because there is less pressure in Nice and they know how to revive players. If he goes there to deliver just like Hatem did and move to a bigger club then Both Balo and Nice would be happy. Ben Arfa was paid on results imo same contract was given to a high risk player known for his lazyness. Both Dante and BelHanda chose the same destination and Nice got some good youmgsters like kocziello. We are assisting to Balo last chance in professional Football, wait and see.

@tiki_taka

Just to correct one thing, you're actually completely wrong there regarding Joao Mario, what made him so expensive was not at all the fact Portugal won Euro, but his domestic performances last season with Sporting: the most consistent, top-performing player I've ever seen in the Portuguese league before. He was the main reason Sporting almost won the league. Winning the Euro was just a bonus and an eye-opener for other clubs.

In Euro he was poor to his standards, probably because playing alongside completely different teammates from Real Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Dortmund, Porto, Benfica etc. Mario will be worth every single penny for Inter, wait and see as he will carry them up among top 3 in Italy - he is that type of player.

40 million in today's market for Joao Mario was a scoop.

0
tiki_taka 8 years ago
Barcelona, France 367 9768

Actually i didn't saw his performences domestically maybe you are right, but he didn't impress me that much like Pepe or Renato Silva so atm I'm not well placed to make a judgement on his real worth.
