This is my ranking of every classical position on the pitch, based on how I think players would currently perform and depending on the systems they play (that is why Oblak is n3, he might be an incredible shot stopper but his ball distribution and passing is really bad, which is an important part of modern goalkeeping. This is my opinion and be free to comment your own down below.

GK: Ter Stegen, Alisson, Oblak

CB: Van Dijk, Koulibaly, Ramos

RB: Kimmich, TAA, Hakimi

LB: Robertson, Alba, Davies

DM: Casemiro, Brozović, Partey

CM: Pogba, Kovačić, Kroos

AM: De Bruyne, Ødegaard, Iličić

RW: Messi, Salah, Sancho

LW: Neymar, Mané, Cristiano

ST: Lewandowski, Mbappe, Håland

Haland above Aguero is a stetch

This list is heavily screwed towards youth.

Haland I don't actually mind (I'd lean Aguero to replace him but Kane wouldn't be bad either), but Sancho, Odegaard, Illicic, Kovacic, Brozovuic, and especially Davies do not belong anywhere near a top 3 by position list. Partley and Hakimi are also stretches, but less so than the forementioned names. In addition, Kimmich has more of a CDM these days, no? Imo he's a better one than all the CDM's you have listed there.

Kante, Saul, Pjanic, De Jong, hell even Fabinho are better CM shouts. Seeing Kovacic in there just rankles me so much.

Its a good list though I don't personally agree with it all. I mostly agree with Sun.

Personally Kroos has lost it, should be replaced by Kante or someone like that
