MU often going doing down in the last minutes

According to various researches, Manchester United under LVG this season hasn't ONCE scored after the 62' minute. :O wow. Meanwhile since this minutes we have conceded 8 goals.

This is the opposite of the traditional MU. In the last 10 seasons , MU scored a total 296 times in this last 27 minutes (comparing to 468 goals from 1' to 62' minute). In the last season of Sir. Alex: 38,7 are the number of goal after 62'.

Last season, under Moyes: 21/64 goals were scored during this period.

Jesus christ, statistically, Manchester United looks tired, bored, and gaving up in the last minutes of the game (mostly crucial). Luis van Gaal really needs to fix this along with other problems.

It's not for a lack of trying. We're still 7 games into the season and joint 3rd for best offense in the league. We still need to get that defense polished, but we did the right thing moving away from the 5-3-2/3-4-3.

Actually, if you probe a little deeper, the problem has been there for quite sometime. Last few years before Fergie left, we have been loosing a grip towards the end of the game. It has been mainly due to lack of a proper midfielder or very slow and leaky defence. LVG is on the right path to fix it, but having Rojo/Shaw at LB at the present will not do that. Shaw needs to step his game up. Everton could have equalized if it wasn't for DeGea's brilliance. We were down to 10 men against Westham. This CFC game will be cruicial for our season in that it could make us or break us. LVG has had 2 weeks to prepare for it, so I hope he gets his tactics and players right.

Arsenal got something similar last year, we were down in first minutes. Specially in almost our every home game last year it was 0:0 for HT or 0:1.

It's called the retarded dog formation XD. Considering the injuries we have, might be wise to just hold possession to see the match off. LVG is a master tactician I'm sure he's working hard to resolve this. Like he said in a interview see us play in year then make comments. Also all these sack LVG comments are just amateurs being amateurs.

tuan Fergie time was the highlight of any United the match lol!

We definitely slow down in the last couple of minutes. In the last 15 minutes or so, when we're winning by 1 goal (e.g. against West Ham and Everton) we had all the players behind the ball in our box. Of course this is infuriating to see but it's not like an unsolvable problem and van Gaal is still working with the team. It's not that van Gaal is necessarily tactically wrong. I think it's just a mental thing. This slowing down in the last moments of the game will be gone soon.

We can talk about the defense being poor but van Gaal isn't getting the credit he deserves for United. He said he needed 3 months to work with United to make us better and he has changed this team around completely. I mean the attacking display United shows is just mouth-watering and watching them is always the highlight of my week.
He even says in his post-match interviews that this isn't good enough from United so you can be sure the van Gaal knows more than anybody that this team still needs fixing. Exciting times are ahead for us guys. :)

@man_utd: yep mate. Ofc van Gaal knows it, and we all cant wait to see him to change it.

Statistically, it rings some bell and we have something else to look forward to and hope that he would fix it. Our defend on paper is already pretty bad, this is something we expect. I hope we have some good singing soon.

Two more Signings, preferably CBs and we should be challenging for the best trophies.

Maybe the pressure of pre-season and the new training sessions left the squad tired, i see a strong United in the second leg, LVG will find solutions.

LVG before the season started had already stated that we weren't completely fit, our squad had a lot of work to do, and pretty weak.

But his progress hasn't been very impressive to be honest. Beside that, we do make it to top 4 (that matters most), have our youngster had playing time, that is another achievement. As soon as LVG get his system ready, we would be much better and frightening I believe

@tuan: Progress has not been impressive because we never have had a stable back 4 or the midfield. Someone has always been out. As for progress in general, you can see the change in attitude since we brought diMaria. I mean the team looks cohesive but needed a little bit more time. I have been saying this, and will repeat again: If we are within 3 games of the leader come January, I think we will give the champion a run for their money...
