Denmark head coach Morten Olsen has lashed out at Jose Mourinho, claiming the Chelsea manager's negative tactics are killing football.

The Portuguese has come under fire in recent weeks after adopting defensive approaches, with his mindset in Chelsea's 2-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield causing the most controversy.

Now Olsen has joined the chorus of critics in an interview with Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet.

"In my world, Mourinho is a danger for football. If many try to copy his style, then the game will die," the 64-year-old said.

"Imagine if everybody played football like Mourinho. Then it would certainly be boring, and then I wouldn't watch the matches.

"I would prefer to pick a good film or go for a stroll in the forest."

Olsen, who has been in charge of the Danish national team since 2000, added: "I could play so differently with Chelsea, if I got the chance.

"But Mourinho is only able to play defensively. The club has spent so much money on so good players. Hell, use them then!"

Even Chelsea star Eden Hazard voiced his disapproval with Mourinho's tactics, claiming the team "were not made to play football" following the club's loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-finals.

And Olsen has defended the Belgian international's comments.

"Of course, it is okay to be calculating," he said. "Now and then, I also like to have the opportunity to play on the counter but there has to be a plan for how you play when you go on the attack.

"Such a plan has Guardiola. We also have it with the national team but Mourinho hasn't.

"He solely relies on set pieces, and then he hopes that Hazard or Willian can do something on their own. I certainly understand why Hazard criticized the way Chelsea played after the game."

Olsen is wrong, Chelsea defend well, so they don't concede many stupid goal like Arsenal or United. Of course, last times, I was disapointed of his tactics because it wasn't a balance. OK they won't concede a goal, but the game finishes 0-0 or 1-1.

Defense is vital. Mourinho has won 2 CL with this tactic. Teams like Liverpool should think about that, if you know what I mean..

Chelsea have not played defensive this season. I'll repeat, we have NOT played defensive this season. To @mess6511: "No sh*t"? No sh*t? If you already knew that never really was our main tactic then what was the freaking point of posting this interview saying we rely on being defensive all the time and calling it the truth? Or are you just contradicting yourself? Have anymore articles about Chelsea (that's usually directed at Mourinho)?

We have only used heavy defending in very big matches against very strong opponents because you know... 3 points is more f*cking important than playing 'Beautifully' and nearly getting into the Europa League. This one goes out specifically to the Arsenal fans here who think their football tactics is superior to ours (WHICH ISN'T DEFENSIVE). If my club was humiliated 6-0, 6-3 (to City), 3-0 (to Everton), 5-1 (to Liverpool) and 2-0 (to United, a club with the shittiest tactics in the top 7 this season) I'd ask for a different manager. A manager who can't win big games can't win trophies, and that is why Arsene hasn't won much for quite sometime now, and probably won't for the rest of his career.

GET IT IN YOUR HEADS, PEOPLE.

Chelsea DO NOT play defensive all the time. If we DO NOT play defensive all the time, then playing defensive IS NOT our tactic.
