Jose Mourinho has told Chelsea to forget about trying to land Gonzalo Higuain this summer.

The Argentina international is on Chelsea's radar, with doubts over Didier Drogba's future, while Manchester City are also said to be keen on him.

The Madrid striker's future is the subject of constant speculation, with the star competing with Karim Benzema as the club's main forward.

Higuain has scored 22 goals in 34 La Liga appearances this season as Madrid have taken the title for the first time in four seasons.

His goalscoring prowess has alerted Europe's top clubs, with Chelsea and City possessing the necessary financial clout to be able to make Madrid a decent offer.

But Mourinho insists Higuain is going nowhere this summer.

"He is going to stay," Mourinho told Spanish newspaper ABC. "I will let him continue here because I do not want to lose him and neither does the club.

"You can make an offer for 40, 50 or 60 million but Real won't sell."
