Well, he should win the league with this squad. But if he doesn't win the league or can't make the CL Final (will be harder this year, all teams made their squad better), I think he should resign but he should not be sacked. It should be his choice.

He should stay, even if he only wins the FA Cup. We need to be patient and believe in him.

Patience is something a lot of clubs lack in modern times. Everyone already knows Mourinho's CV. Regardless of his results next season, he must stay.

That put aside, I find it difficult to not see Chelsea win a trophy next season.

There are different types of trophy-less seasons. He just needs to show Chelsea has improved and make the fans believe in the process. I would give him 3-4 seasons to really judge his work. He could have perfectly won a CL with RM if he was given more time.

He will win a trophy. End of story.

After what he said about Wenger last year, it would be funny case enough, he came from a trophyless year from Madrid, that would mean that Football has changed again and he needs to adapts his methods and maybe turn into more attaking minds.
3 years without a trophy is something unseen from Mourinho but Football is in constant change, tactics included.
For me he has no excuse from being trophyless this year.

I would want him to stay even without a trophy this year.

As much as I would like to see Mou go 3 years without a trophy would be a dream come true ;) I rather watch Tottenham win the league rather than see Mou lift a cup next season simply because what arrogant things Mou said about wenger :)

^ They weren't arrogant... it was the blatant truth but when someone high up says it it is suddenly offensive.

I am confident we will take at least one trophy . However, if we go throphyless , I want him to stay for at least for few more seasons. He is a quality that we can't just let go again . I saw huge improvements last year and I believe there will be even bigger things to come if he stays for a decade or so.

Mourinho is the best manager Chelsea has ever had. I'd much rather see a manager that stayed put at our club than having a new one very single year. Mourinho, if he chooses to stay, would be a perfect match. I remember what an impact he made when he first arrived in 04. How he handled the press, was unseen in english football and it still pretty much is, which I love. Chelsea becomes the bully instead of the bullied, but in a fantastic way.
