United doesn't need another striker. We don't have Martial and Rashford for nothing.
If anything, we need to offload players like Memphis and Schniederlin this window.
I really want to keep Memphis. A lot of deadwood does need to move out though.
@Sunflash I admit the guy has potential, but he's been given enough chances to prove himself. He can pull off crazy tricks and skills but his crossing and passing is mediocre.
@Sunflash Well, it seem Mourinho himself doesn't trust them too much as striker if we do listen to what he say. :D
As an analytical asshole, I don't find skills and tricks to be very compelling. What I do find compelling is speed, size, strength, and the desire as well as potential to be a fantastic player. Memphis has all that, and those facts alone deserve more chances for the player.
@Sunflash Thats too bad cause the way I see it, you would have to be lucky for him to stay, seem like Mourinho is more than ready to sell and not even for a lot. Real shame about him and Schneiderlin, I can't help but feel they could have done better for the team. Hopefully, they won't be the only one leaving (Fellaini might as well!).
Fellaini won't leave. I wish he does, but Mourinho uses him when he needs to rest Carrick/Herrera and he's been praising Fellaini these past few weeks as if he's an incarnation of God.
From Skysport:
Man Utd are happy to spend as much as £80m in order to capture Spurs forward Harry Kane, according to reports on Calciomercato.com.
The England international, 23, is currently contracted to the north London club until the summer of 2022.
Wonder if any of that is true. :S
@saatvik Yeah, you are propably right, remember when I said Fellaini was a dormant agent for Everton, I'm starting to think Mourinho might part of the conspiration in some way or other. :P
Chelsea is definitively not making a move for Vidal. Most likely he'll go to China. We definitively do not need him.
Most rumours turn out false. Especially when the original source as in the post above is something like calciomnercato.
Yeah, no way United are picking up Kane, let alone in a winter window. Since we only use one striker, he'd be replacing Ibra. On a level of no, that's a fucking no.
@KTB @Sunflash Yeah, I thought as much, wonder why skysport even waste time reporting that kind of talk! XD
80m£ for Harry Kane ? With his actual form ?
@Tiki I know, seem like a stupid move but then again, they did make Pogba the most costy player in the world. Nothing suprise me anymore when it come to overpay for player and Manchester United. ;P
So, the transfer windows is near and I thought I would share some interesting news that I found on Skysport:
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is chasing a reunion with £38m Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal after the Blues refused to meet the asking price for Radja Nainggolan. (A logical move since Conte didn't his quality midfielder this summer after all but I don't really expect Vidal to leave right now.)
Conte has reportedly also told Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to fund a move for Swansea striker Fernando Llorente. (Now, this sound a bit stupid, only reason I would see Conte making such a request is because he got a soft spot for Llorente from their time at Juventus)
Manchester United have rejected West Brom's £13m offer for Morgan Schneiderlin and want £20m for the player. (Well, if this is true, any team willing to pay the £20M will have themselve a decent deal as I believe Schneiderlin is still a very good player despite lack of playing time, hope to see him move to get more playing time.)
Spanish star Bojan Krkic is willing to listen to offers to quit Stoke this January. (Alway interesting to hear of transfer in the winter window even if Bojan isn't exactly the hottest deal out there)
Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal are all interested in Everton outcast Ross Barkley. (Don't think he will leave this winter but maybe we will have suprise. He might do well at Totteham but I fear he would lack playing at Chelsea and at Arsenal)
Manchester City target Aymeric Laporte says he will 'study offers' to leave Athletic Bilbao. (Don't see him leave mid-season, he propably meant for next transfer window and not this one.)
Jose Mourinho admits it would be a "disaster" for Manchester United if Zlatan Ibrahimovic was injured - but he has no plans to invest in a striker until the summer (If it can happen Jose, it will, I would find a back-up striker now if I were you)
Arsene Wenger has denied blocking Mathieu Debuchy from moving to Manchester United last January, but the Arsenal manager has revealed the French defender is up for sale. (Good, let him leave, will be better for everyone involved)
So, I only picked the news who might be interesting in the coming winter transfer window and also those I think were the most interesting but if you find other good news, share them with us. As usual, share your thought on the topic. Thanks in advance! ;)
