One day... one day... Chelsea and Arsenal will be doing that for us.
One day.
guards of honor are not humiliating. The truest humiliation is someone winning the league at your ground. You should put some examples of those.
Here you go, Foota.
;)
:'(
Sorry, Lo! It had to be done >:)
Probably wont happen again any time soon though D;
@GunnerAFC: you are heartless. I think United won it at ours as well.
In fairness, I would bring it up too, if our positions were reversed. ;)
Don't it all seem so long ago, now, eh? That Arsenal side really was something special. Their passing was as crisp as the Real Madrid of today. I'm just glad we managed to at least fight back for a draw!
Still the most beautiful derby in football.
Guard of honor is not humiliation if you are over 20 and mature or 30 nowadays, It's called respect and shows your club's personality and sport spirit.
totally agree with Alex!
"RCD ESPANYOL HAHAHA SCUMBAGS GIVE US THAT GUARD BITCHES!" u sir are one of the fans i really hate.
GunnerAFC you forgot his ;)
I hope Arsenal can do it to United next year :/
@Rama you gotta watch this then :) our results against Man Utd are pretty much even. Even before RA and one of them is this match where we won 5-0 back in 1999.

^ Cool! Who is RA? Roberto Abrahmoivc ? :D
^ It's Roman Abramovic you stupid idiot.
lol Roman Abramovich :)) we also won 3-1 against Barcelona that season or 2000 but then lost on the second leg.. :)
we won league at Old Trafford, at Anfield, at White Hart Lane but that's just history.. We still can't win at Emirates :(
There is no word for Zola, besides: LEGEND.
I really hope he gets his chance as a high-profile manager, because his footballing brain was light-years ahead of anyone else of his time.
@quikzzy your one of the fans i hate because u cant take a joke! get my drift?
With my beloved catalan army capturing the league crown, we have already been given a guard of honor by Atletico Madrid, we are set to be given a guard of honor by Real Valladolid, and .. ooh. ooh. RCD ESPANYOL HAHAHA SCUMBAGS GIVE US THAT GUARD BITCHES!... sorry... got a little excited..
and also Malaga, for the second time in 3 seasons, they gave us a guard in 2011 after we had one the league title with 2 games to spare(i think)
our upcoming GOH by our enemies RCD espanyol reminds me of other guards of honor throughout football that will usually be remembered.
i will start with ourselves.. 2008 after Real Madrid captured the league title.. and we were 3rd in the table, the clasico came when the race for the title was over.. and the most emberassing thing ensued.
to put salt to the wounds.. Real Madrid won that game 4-1. giving them a league double over us. (they had won 1-0 at nou camp)
in England, in 2007.. Manchester United had recaptured the title from Chelsea and faced them when the league was already over. and unfortunately.. the code of conduct states...
I believe the match ended 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Man united had actually given Chelsea a guard of honor a few years before that in 04 05.
of course we all know this one.
the last guard of honor of the Fergie era at old trafford, given by swansea city! this season.
this one may not mean alot outside spain, but considering a decade ago.. these 2 teams were battling for La liga over and over again. we had won the league crown in 2011 in theprevious game at Levante.. deportivo was fighting for there lives in the top flight, the Galicians had to give us a guard of honor. This really scarred die hard depor fans. the match ended 0-0, and had we won, we could of condemned Deportivo to the segunda there, but they survived to play another week, we were handed the title and lifted it infront of our crowd. Depor was relegated the next week in a 2-0 home loss to Valencia CF. while Barca had won there final game at Malaga 3-1.
