lol what I meant to say was that he was more of a team player back in United, than in RM. Individual-wise, he improved by miles, but I don't see him being a better team player there, then in United. Caphiche?

He achieved more at United!
He's less selfish now, stop talking bullshit.
even if ronaldo stayed at united, messi is still above him.. -_-
I wanna see your faces if CR won it.. Cristiano is a hard worker i think he made Real madrid champions of la liga in 2011-2012.. But messi is offcourse amazing with his technique and the same goes for iniesta... It will be exciting
If the best player of the world has and will never play for another club, he's not the best...
So by your logic, good players should keep club hopping?
...because after all, we measure Pele's greatness by the fact that he moved from Santos to the New York Cosmos. :p
@FredTilson , said by a city fan hahahaha
Don't forget that Messi with Argentina is not Pelé with Brazil.
Honestly, I've lost faith in the Ballon d'Or after Sneijder was denied the 2010 award.
I'm not the least bit surprised. It's not entirely Messi's achievements that have earned him votes from the voters but the way the media publish their acts. Messi is always the mesmerizing, simple player while Ronaldo is an arrogant, selfish, money minded, diving player who values style. It's ironic how the footballing world admired Ronaldo when he was bossing the Premier League and then so many turned against him when he joined Real Madrid, the so called villains. I'm sure everyone's rational judgement pretty much vanished at that point. He wouldn't be as much hated if he were in Barcelona, I'm sure. This makes me feel sorry for him.
Anyways after this year's World XI and Ballon d'Or selections, I'm not looking forward to this event in the future.
bloodred1992 I have to disagree. He is hated because he is known as a diver and a cheat, that plays for Real Madrid. As if he wasn't already hated by many when he was at United? That was the prime of his diving. Just because you play for Barcelona it doesn't make you any more loved. Look at Busquets, Alves, Sanchez, all known to produce some theatrics of their own, and are all hated by everyone. It's not only Ronaldo, but DiMaria and Pepe too. He received a lot of love during 2007-2008 simply because there was no other best player in the world to rival him for that title. The emergence of Messi made people notice his magic and switch their favorite choice to the obvious.
"Messi is always the mesmerizing, simple player while Ronaldo is an arrogant, selfish, money minded, diving player who values style"
Are you saying this is not the truth, or are you frustrated with it constantly being highlighted? ;)

Ack! Could a mod please clean that post up, and then delete this one? Sorry, I cut and pasted something in from a work window. >.<
Funny how the only ones saying that Ronaldo was better at Man United are stuck up Man United fans who can't accept the fact that Ronaldo chose Real over Manchester.
@Lodatz I admit I like Ronaldo, but seriously compared to Messi and Iniesta, the guy has made his contribution to his team matter more last season. Anyways, I won't say any more, don't want to sound like I hate Messi.
Frankly, I cbf typing up this info since I'm using on my club profile. The titles says it all, and your reactions/opinions of this matter are more than welcome here.
But in my opinion, CR7 isn't going to get anywhere if he carries on playing for RM, no offence RM fans. Not because that I'm a United fan, but I think many fans would agree that he was much better back then in Man Utd than where he is now.
Cheers.
