These injuries should've never happened. He was overused so much in the last four to five years. I mean, he's played 340 games between the start of the 2008-09 season and now. Just let that sink in. Nearly 30600 minutes of football. That's ridiculous. He's human. His mind and body should've been given ample rest. Even if it was only 60 minutes of rest of only one match every month, it would've been enough. All these dumb injuries that keep on hitting him now are STRESS related injuries. The poor man needs to take his time and come back. I'd rather miss half of a season than miss the World Cup.

He loves to play soccer, and he tries to play as much as he can, but he is a human being, so he needs to rest. If he wants to possibly play in the world cup, he should rest.
