Match Thread: Porto v Benfica

All right, DonAndres suggested I should start a new thread regarding this game, so I did.

The game will be played tonight at 21:30 English time at the Estádio do Dragão. It's the 29th round (of 30) in the Primeira Liga, and will probably decide who will grab the title this season in Portugal.

Benfica currently tops the table with as many games played as Porto, the former having 74 points, the latter 72. This means a win or a draw will probably ensure Benfica the title, whereas a win for Porto will do the opposite.

Here's a list of the probable lineups:

Porto

Helton
Danilo - Maicon - Mangala - Sandro
González - Fernando - Moutinho
Varela - Martínez - Rodríguez

Benfica

Artur
Pereira - Lusiáo - Garay - Almeida
Matic
Salvio - Pérez - Gaitán
Lima - Cardozo

Who do you think will walk away with the victory, and thus very likely the championship? Of course I'll have to go for Porto, but I'm certain it will be, as always, a cracker of a match. :)

I'd spike the teams food with antidepressants...
What a terrible terrible ending to such a near-perfect season....
Now this team will be remembered as the "one who threw away a treble"

NOW we will see just how good of a manager Jesus can be. If he can pick up this team again for next year and bring them back to a chance at a cup/title then he'll prove just how great he is.

Yepp. Very excited to see what happens next for Benfica. Will they manage to recover, or will they walk the same way as Sporting? Let's wait and see...

I understand the players, such as Cardozo, are mad after their horrible ending to the season, but to attack the coach like that is unacceptable.

They don't deserve that fate.
