Mata to Man UTD?

What do you guys think? its seems like it will happen. Skysports is a trusted source unlike sites like marca, goal or dailysomething(whatever it was called)

Gary Neville has questioned how mata would fit in current united system and he mentioned the only way he would fit would have man utd to change their system for mata.

What do man utd fans think about this ?

For me, this move could literally change Man utd.(for the better obiviously :D ) Top 4 seems possible if mata does move.

Adding Mata to our team is great addition ,no doubt, but I can't see it's happening ,especially in January.

I can't see it getting any worse if we buy Mata. With the current "system" not working, yes, please change the system just to suit Mata, a World Class player who will provide a reason for other players to work hard and to compete for a starting spot.

I don't mean to rant, but I read the article, and why the fuck does gary neville think he has a say on this? Lol He's like:

"Does he fit with what I would call the typical philosophy of Manchester United? I would say no.

"The first question, I think, is where are you going to play him? Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie are up top if they are fit so where are you going to play him? Are you going to play him off the left or off the right?

So please tell me now, where is Rooney, where is Van Persie, Gary Neville is a legend and always will be, but seriously, Fuck Off.

Would be an amazing signing. I don't get why other United fans on other forums are whining about Mata.
Considering the form we're in right now, he could AND WILL be the game changer. There's been a lot of articles from Skysports which is saying that we're closing in on him and I'm pretty confident that we can snatch him up.
We can talk about how our LB/CM is weak along with some other positions but I think signing Mata would be the first step in the road to recovery.
Here would be my line-up if Mata were to come:
---------------de Gea------------------
Rafae-----Vidic-------Evans-----Evra
--------Carrick---------Fletcher-------
Mata---------Rooney--------Januzaj
--------------------RVP-----------------
Beautiful.

Yes, because Mata obviously does not want to play any part of the Spain WC team. If he is going anywhere it is between Bayern or PSG.

What's more important is the RvP/Rooney recovery!!

Mata should go abroad.

@koldimere

But where could he go? I don't think PSG or Bayern necessarily need him and other clubs (atletico madrid, napoli, etc) can't offord the pricetag that chelsea is asking.

Before thinking too much about whether Mata fits Manchester United's style or not you should worry about losing Rooney, because we all saw what happened in summer and I don't see this deal going through without Rooney being included.

Yes, I agree. I feel like we're signing too many attacking players, that eventually some will have to go. But all and all, if this is what Moyes is planning to do, then I won't pester him, since this is Moyes who is building his own squad, not keeping hold of Ferguson's team. Good luck with the transfer, hope it goes well!!

37-40m for Mata would be a fantastic profit for Chelsea

actually as unlikely this transfer is considering Moyes is Man Utd's manager, Ive heard a lot about the transfer and reporters saying it could actually happen. It would be great for United and it can help reach the top 4 dream.

@Tuanis: I can see Mata making an impact at United considering how talented he is but I've got this feeling he might not fit at United. Just a gut feeling though.

YA i heard it was for 37 mil, still worth it considering he is 25 years old

I wonder who'll fill in as 2nd choice AM instead of Mata. If the transfer happens in the summer I could see Piazon take his place.

@awais, if you want Rooney, then Mata will not be enough!

Rooney is by far manu's most important player, and I think it would hurt them to lose him, even if they get Mata in the exchange. And also I doubt that Chelsea will sell a player of Mata's calibre to a rival. In my opinion, Mata either stays at chelsea or leaves to PSG, Italy or Spain.
