Yeah, but how many of those were for the last 10 minutes, in games that were already dead?
I don't know but the same can be said about how many games did Oscar come in as a sub for in his supposed 64 games? Oscar didn't always start. Usually, Moses, Bertrand and Benayoun took the places of Hazard, Mata or Oscar. I think if both RDM and Benitez didn't like to use him (and same with Bremen), then Marin isn't destined to be a squad rotation player.
Sure, but the difference between 16 and 64 is rather HUGE, bro. ;)
If you switch out, say, 8, that ups Marin to 24 (a 50% increase). You still have Oscar on 56, which is STILL an enormous difference.
It's a gaping chasm of difference, in fact. :p
I would use Benayoun, Ramires or Moses instead of Marin if we kept Oscar out for games. Plus, Oscar usually played on the right wing and Marin plays left wing. Marin was always down the pecking order. Down the pecking order with RDM. Down the pecking order with Benitez. And down the pecking with Werder Bremen. Marin is a low quality signing and he was never going to be above any of our players. That's why he only got 16 appearances and he would have never gotten above 16 appearances at teams like Bayern, Barcelona, Madrid or United either.
I think he's better than that, but fair enough. You don't rate him, and clearly neither did the coach.
But that's why those people who do rate him, have a bit of a point when they say he's been 'ruined'. ;)
He was ruined since his injuries at Bremen. That's why the blame just goes to his bad luck and not us just because there are better options than him in the squad.
Well I have spoken with Vendetta about thiss guy. I don't he had much success so I think that Sevilla is a better place for him.
And also, injuries never comprise the talent of a player. People should remember this sometimes.
^Fernando Torres begs to differ.
The 24-year-old Germany international moved to Stamford Bridge from Werder Bremen last summer, but the capture of compatriot Andre Schurrle from Bayer Leverkusen means he has fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.A statement on the official website read: "Chelsea Football Club and Sevilla Futbol Club have reached an agreement for the season-long loan of Marko Marin, subject to the completion of legal documentation and a medical."Marin made 16 appearances for the Blues last term after a hamstring injury early in the season delayed his competitive debut.
