I had no idea who this guy was. One day while watching Chelsea play I started researching this guy. He came out of nowhere for me. I was surprised how he broke through the first team. Anyways, he's been great. Nice background info.

I actually for some reason though he was a barcelona youth player...?
Must be still difficult to continue tradition in family playing for top sides . Enzo Zidane for example is struggling to come even close to the worst of Zidanes form .
@Marcus2011 Agreed, must have been a deception for him to be unable to play for Real Madrid (he only played a single game for the first team) or any other big Spanish side. Still, it look like he at last achieved success with his move to Chelsea this season. Talking about Zidane, I really feel he like he want Enzo to become succesful despite his other son Luca being an interesting prospect as well. :(
@liomessi I don't understand why, but if asked wether I felt he was a youth player from either Barca or Real, I would have said Barcelona as well. XD
@Tacuachillo Indeed, its propably because he did his biggest progress in Italy in a less well known side (Fiorentina), That explain why Conte decide to recruit him and why we had not heard about him before. Happy for him, his success at Chelsea is one of the pleasant suprise of the season. :D
Wow, I never realized it but not only Marcos Alonso was Real Madrid youth player but he also come from quite the badass footballer family. Found this on wikipedia.
All I had known was that he came from Fiorentina and had played in the past for Bolton Wanderers. Still, this explain why he is so good. He got talent in his blood. :D
Did any of you guys knew?
