Manchester United are aiming to sign a Hungarian boy wonder called – Puskas!
Martin Puskas, 15, has been on a secret trip to England and has been training with United’s junior teams at their Carrington training ground.
He’s an attacking midfielder, and, like the legendary player whose surname he shares, is predominantly left-footed. But they are not related.
Ferenc Puskas became one of world football’s all-time greats in the 50s and 60s with Real Madrid and Hungary, who were known as the MIghty Magyars.
Young Puskas was discovered in Hungarian youth football by PSV Eindhoven two years ago. He has been living in Holland since then and playing for PSV’s academy.
Puskas said: “I love English football. It is the best football in the world. I know it is not just about talent and being lucky, you have to work really hard to achieve things’’
The Old Trafford giants have struck gold with previous recruits from PSV, including Jaap Stam, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Park Ji-Sung.
