This thread looks at the strengths, weaknesses and styles of these clubs in a bit of a summary for those that didn't watch the match. Also adding a Man of the match and Flop of the match.

United strengths: Stole the ball from Liverpool quite a lot
United weaknesses: Were caught offside quite a lot
United style: Attack through the left

Liverpool strengths: Created a lot of chances considering they had 45%. They stole the ball from United quite a lot of times. They also had had some pretty good long shots
Liverpool weaknesses: Too aggressive. They also lost the ball quite a lot
Liverpool style: Attack through the left. Liverpool also had a high shot ratio considering they're low in possession, as excepted from a manager like Klopp

Man of the Match: I don't know to be honest, probably Can, went unnoticed.
Flop of the Match: Easy one, Pogba.

United weaknesses: creativity, playing through the middle
United style: Attack through the left

Liverpool strengths: speed, creativity, midfield passing and rhythm
Liverpool weaknesses: no mane, no coutinho (didn't play whole game)
Liverpool style: Attack through the left, fast breaks, "pass to coutinho"

Most of United's attack came down the right through Valencia, particularly after Martial was subbed off. It was where their best (and ultimately successful) chances were created.

Considering Liverpool used the left side to attack, it was only natural Valencia would often get the ball. Valencia has also been pretty good this season. Plus, I believe he had the most touches for United. But yeah, they made quite a few good attacks, and with United, they like to play long balls forward.
