Manchester United vs Arsenal - pre&post talk. And the controversy
tuan_jinn 8 years ago Edited
Manchester United, Netherlands 198 6912

Hi guys,

This game again, will be excited. Scan through the internet and FR's preview comments, I have to say this time it looks pretty dark for MU, the confident is going a bit low, as low as with Moyes and LVG...

  • Mou & Wenger' love affair has cost lots of papers, 'the special one' and 'and specialist in failure' meet once again. Mou has won 13 times, and draw 1.
  • MU is 6 points behind... despite Arsenal being Arsenal (the 4th-y) :D ok relax guys. :D:D we are shit too.
  • Arsenal in 10 games unbeaten (whatever @.O ). Manchester killed the champion Leicester :D:D:D
  • Both coaches have kinda dinosaurs' tactics. SHAME!

Now history people

  • MU once won 8 - 2. The official twitter account posted about it and lots of fans begged them to put it down, not because we are nice, but because we are afraid of bitting our own tongue... JEZZZ, never seen our confident is being this low.
  • Arsenal has lost 22 games, worst than any of our opponent. It shows how motivated we have been against the bad-luck Brian Arsenal.

Favor?

  • Rooney is going through a non-sense shit storm (drunk and smoke, lolz poor lad)
  • Zlatan will be absent.
  • Arsenal as usual, a hospital club with bunch of irrelevant injuries :D

Lot of people say it's time Wenger to beat Mou, now or never :D:D:D.

Yeah right. like Mou would let you do that in OT =.= ok, watever

Manchester United 3 - 1 Arsenal.

Last year was a similar situation. Arsenal visited Old Trafford in great form, and we were shite, we had just lost to teams like Midtjylland and Sunderland, etc. But then a guy named Rashford popped up and he hasn't popped out since. Even with Zlatan suspended, I can see United winning here. There is home advantage, and we have the Mourinho>Wenger advantage.

Manchester United 2-1 Arsenal

P.S. - I just read about Wayne Rooney and I gotta say people right now just need a reason to criticize Rooney. He just went out to have a few drinks with his friends in a marriage, but NO, people want their footballers to be robots nowadays with no human desires or weaknesses.
Let's just be happy he didn't resort to crime to relieve his stress. (cough Adam Johnson cough)

I agree, I feel disgusted toward some journalist and "fans" twitted how Rooney has embarrassed the MU's shirt and sh!t, and how he doesn't deserve blah blah anymore... WTF Pure click bait and crowd-following to feed haters... disgusting. A guy is just a human, they need Klopp's interview smashes to their faces

  • Arsenal has a very poor record at Old Trafford
  • Arsenal has a very poor record when the kick-off is early
  • Wenger has a vey poor record against Mourinho

Arsenal will be without Bellerin & Cazorla (F**K), Welbeck & Perez.
United will be without Smalling & Baily, while Valencia, Rooney, Fellaini & Shaw are in slight doubt. Ibra is suspended.

We have to start strong and play our game, only then we can win. If we concede early like million times vs Mou, it will be a disappointing day full of excuses and Wengerout notes.

I really hope you guys concede a goal early then :D. Mind that this game is playing in OT.

Arsenal is in better form though :(

A draw is possible here...

"Mourinho has won 13 times and drawn once"

You can just stop there. I know the "specialist in failure" comment was perceived as disrespectful, but I cannot help but laugh when I look at Wenger's record against Mou.

We HAVE to win. We already messed up IMO. I've seen this too many times. We should be on about 27 points. Normally I'd take a draw, but this is MUST win. I don't think we will though

Score: 1 1

Stat of the day:Arsenal have gone over 10 years without a league victory at Old Trafford.

elneny was truly awful, why on earth did he start ahead of xhaka??

what id say to united fans is to take away the performance from the game rather than the result. yes united were better and should have won, but you dominated and thats encouraging!

Both team were mediocre, and too careful in the first half. The second half was all about us, we dominated... should habe finished the game and we paid the prive :(

A draw is possible here...

The man who said this is a genius. ;) But in all truth, we had two very good team with very good defence against one another who can create rare moment of brillance, it was alway more likely to be a draw than anything else. 3 point for me thank to that in the prediction league. ;)

@Dynast You really respect Mourinho a great deal don't you Dynast? What do you think about his time at United then? Me, I expected more from him to be fair. :(

Am I the only one who feel like United is very good to stop attack but poor in offense, having little imagination, not combining well or simply trying too much at time.

Should not have started with Moreal, Elneny and RAMSEY!! Valencia is too fast for monreal.. Gibbs would have been a better match.. Our mid is DEAD.. both Elneny and Coq played DEFENSIVELY.. Xhaka was the right man to replace Cazorla role.. RAMSEY is AWFUL! Y no Iwobi?! we played like typical Arsenal team.. pass n pass n pass n pass without any sort of objective to score a goal.. Arsenal today is DEAD!

It was very poor selected team. If Wenger really wants that bad Ramsey to play, he should have put him in the mid instead of Elneny. Monreal is getting worse and worse this season, what has happened to him :(

@Emo

Yeah, I have a lot of respect for Mourinho for what he's done for his clubs (Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real), although I don't always agree with his tactics. Regardless, he's a proven champion, which is more than what you can ask from a manager. I've only watched about 4-5 United games this season, and they've been incredibly mediocre and dull. Pogba has been woeful in every United game I've seen so far, and Ibrahimovic has had practically no support. I don't blame Mourinho in the slightest, though. It's not his fault he inherited this squad or Woodward purchased those players. Like I've been saying for a long time, this United squad does not contain your atypical "Mourinho players".

Give Mourinho 3 years and I'm sure he'll be worth the wait for United.

@Dynastian: you dont blame him in the slightest? Did he aign the contract and say: ok with this crap squa we are gonna play like sh!t and aim for top 7? No!!! He came in with the confident, of course the task is hard, but the club didnt pay for a sky high top manager to blame on a shit inherited squad.

He spent millions on the market and he has most of the support. So far our style is dull.

Of course, He's not to blame for everything, we have sympathy and understand, but he is simply not that special anymore. He needs to adapt his games and forget about the old glories. Too much controversy and blame games would only make it worse. We expect much more from Mourinho.

I am all behind him and the team. But it would be extremely naive to think he has nothing to blame

I don't like to think I blindly support a certain person or team, but I do believe that Mourinho needs more time. There are too many impatient fans and club presidents nowadays. We need patience. Lack of patience is why Ancelotti got fired twice! Mourinho was at fault for quite a bit of the problems at Chelsea during his second tenure, but I still can't blame him for United's performances at this moment. When I have seen this United play, I do not see Mourinho's ideology reflected on the pitch.

0

Patient is one thing, but signal when things go wrong is another thing. I know he doesn't need us to tell him his transfer policy, his tactic doesn't work so far. he's smart enough and he knows he is not doing well, he has to fix it.

But just like any other profession, and especially in such a high paying job, expectation is high and people who gets paid hold certain responsibility when underperforming.

I can't agree more with giving him time, he needs more time to build his team, his style (I never like his style anyway). I will be behind him no matter what though. Sadly, so far the team has shown far below what's expected, and he's the capitano.

Regarding his ideology, I do see his: Careful, counter attacking, and too careful again. But of course, it's far from the Real or Inter of his., cuz we have way shittier squad (as people say) So what??? a great manager, with extreme pay slips should be able to work it out some how. He's one of the greatest, it's time to show.

@Dynastian Waiting 3 year for Mourinho to get his stuff in order? Doesn't seem like the way United have been operating recently, even Van Gaal who gave United a FA Cup win at the end of the season was sacked before the end of his contract. I'm not saying Mourinho is worse than Van Gaal though. But I alway thought Mourinho was a kind of short term manager, who could quickly make a team play better in no time. He has the reputation to bring immediate change to a team from what I seen and I'm not sure he doing good enough right now considering the squad he has. I agree we can't blame everything on him and while his squad is good, it is not his fault if the player cannot seem to perform like they should. I just think that his reputation will propably take a quite a hit if he doesn't manage to get any better result with United in a close future and if he end sacked by United. Would be a shame in my opinion that his decision to manage Manchester United hurt his career in the long term. What I'm trying to say is, I realize how great a manager he has already been in the past, but I'm really worried about his present, we already know he need to impress quickly at United or there is a risk he won't last, even with his reputation, I'm scared he won't get 3 year. Hopefully, even if he doesn't win the league, if he manage to get some cup and end in a high enough position, he propably will get more time to built his team and get his tactic in place. And on a more positif note, he is still doing better than he was last year. ;)

Edit: Also, I will never been grateful enough to him for recommending Montreal Impact to Drogba after training here, it was a awesome chance for us. :D
