Sorry for being a bit trolly here, when I made my comment, the game was ending in fact, so I knew the results. :p Still, should have been a draw.

Never believed all this show off that was made pre-season about United buying Pogba and Zlatan will change a lot. All this summertime talks are just nonsense when you realize they lost in Europa League and they will struggle for the rest of the matches. I don't think there has been progress since Fergie left, of cours it's still the beginning of the season but still.

@expertfootball11 To be sincere, there really no shame to lose a game against Feyenoord, best side in the netherland right now. From what I seen, it seem like the goal was offside as well. Should have done a better job on the offense really. I wouldn't say they are not a better side that last year but they are still not looking like the great side that dominate their opponent. In other word, you're right, its still early and there is still time to improve.

@Emobot7 You can't really expect a team containing world class talent like Ibra, Pogba and more to put in such an absymal performance and not feel any shame.
United played like utter shit yesterday. Whether it was players who were playing their first matches, or whether they were angry at Mourinho for blaming his players, I don't know. I know playing in the Europa League is not the ambition of most of these players, but when you are in the competition, it is ultimately a chance to win some silverware, and these 90 minutes were crucial for players to impress Mourinho.

Rojo doesn't know how to defend, how to put in crosses, he looked clueless in all set pieces and his positioning was horrible. Needs a loan move to somewhere else immedialtely. Bailly and Smalling were good, and Darmian also disappointed, though much less than Rojo.

Pogba was given the freedom to surge up and down the pitch today and he didn't. He was given license to make is trademark runs but he didn't. But I'm not blaming him, he needs time to settle.

Schniederlin was missing the whole game. He will also move out on loan soon if he wants playing time.

Rashford was again eager, but he got pathetic service and support. You could see the desperation with which e was calling his teammates up the pitch to support him, but nobody was bothering. You can't expect him to do anything when he is alone against 5 defenders.

The whole match was played at a walking pace, and IMO we didn't really need two holding midfielders. Only Herrera would have been enough, with Pogba free roaming between CDM and CAM, and Rooney should have played in place of Schniederlin.

On this showing, United will get nowhere.

Just feel sad for Rashford, you can see in the way he is playing and moving the ball that is he is the only constructive player in the mildfield : young talents should be rewarded but I guess teamwork in United has diseappeared lately.

When I saw pre game Mou press conference I knew they Ain't gonna win, Feyernoord are Eredivise leaders, doesn't mean they could compete against a 100% motivated United, but they clearly have a big intensity. United B weren't as motivated as Feyernoord, and for me you can't start a game saying " Europe league " is not the competition we expect...

But Mou had to do it, when Benitez won EL for Chelsea he laughed at him saying that winning El is being out of CL. But it remains a competition with more than 60 clubs across Europe worth to be won imo.

Mind game or not, it didn't help the players to say they won't get motivated. You are paid to destroy everything, you can bring competition between players or try to make the last league defeat disappear. Now he got 2 in a row while he had a pretty good start of the season. Mou may feel embarrassed to play EL after what he said on Benitez, but United and their fans deserve to win it or at least try. Dortmund, Liverpool, Napoli, Sevilla, Wolfsburg, Inter, Roma all took it seriously why not United ? Less money there, do United need money, is he sure of reaching big 4 ? I hope he is...

If Barca is not part of CL one day, I would want them to play EL and I'm sure it's in the club mentality to win it as any other competition.

WC of clubs, you play second tier teams and you bring the trophy, teams from Africa Australia Asia all go there and you must give them a fight...
Now Italian teams all take it seriously, if Juve does well in CL this season 4 th place of CL will be in danger, English clubs should think for their mutual benefit. Kuddos to the Saints.

@tiki Every club takes it seriously except Premier League clubs. This has been happening for many years now. Liverpool only took it seriously last year when they were assured of not winning anything in the league. Tottenham had a fixture against Dortmund in the Europa League. I know that if my team faces such high quality opposition I would want Mourinho to get his players motivated for such a good fixture, and I would want players to give it their all. Sadly, Pochettino picked a completely second string team last year and they ended up losing 5-1 on aggregate.

One other thing, England's CL spot won't be in any trouble for a couple years, because City reached the semi finals last year and Liverpool reached the UEL final. The coefficients imroved vastly.
