Lol. When I read "Manchester United striker", I immediately thought that van Persie was leaving.
Doubt many United fans care about Macheda's departure though. :P

Where is Chicharito ?? It's a crime to keep this player out of the field....
One of my best players.
we must change some things.... Rio can't play on top level, but not only that... WE can't score "normal" goal with some good combination . Against L'pool 0, Chelsea 0, Cristal Palace 1pk 1fk, City 1fk. This succks..
^ You guys did have a good game against Swansea though. Moyes just needs to find that stellar form again.
He won a league tittle for us with that goal, he would always be in United fan's heart because of this winning goal.
He should leave to a club that gives him playing time, there is no place for him at United with Moyes as coach.
Is he even that good?
Manchester United player wants to leave the club..
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda has stressed his desire to leave the club permanently in January.
The young Italian has been shipped out on loan to Doncaster Rovers by new manager David Moyes – his fourth short-term spell away from Old Trafford.
And, the 22-year-old believes it’s time to move on from the Red Devils, having failed to properly break into the first team at Old Trafford.
"There's nothing definite yet, but certainly I won't be staying with United," he told calciomercato.it.
"As soon as the market reopens, we'll see what opportunities there are. I'm not disappointed by United's decision because I already knew how things would go.
"The new coach, [David] Moyes, has decided to focus on the more established players, giving less space for the younger ones. Now I've just got to think about myself and continue my career in the best way possible and grow and improve."
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson brought the Italian youth international to the club back in 2007, and he made his debut for the club the following year.
Macheda earned hero status the following year, scoring a last-minute winner against Aston Villa at Old Trafford and then again the following week against Sunderland en-route to the title.
