Ander Herrera said: "Signing for Manchester United is a dream come true. I have played at Old Trafford for Athletic Club in the UEFA Europa League and it was one of the highlights of my career so far. I have joined United to do all I can to help the team reach the club's objectives. Having arrived on Tuesday, I’m excited to now be living in Manchester and I can’t wait for my first game in United’s famous red shirt. I will never forget my time with Athletic Club and I’d like to thank the fans and staff for all their support and, above all, wish all my fantastic former team-mates all the best for the future."

Welcome Ander! I hope you will improve our midfield!

UPDATE: Skills, tricks, passes, goals

UPDATE: First interview (not the best quality). Lads English is fantastic!

I remember him in our Bilbao - United Europa league game 2 seasons ago. Guy had a lot of promise. Yess!!!!! I think 29 million is a but much but it was obviously better than the 35 million price tag he was set on last time we wanted him!

He is good but it would have been better if they signed Héctor Herrera. The Mexican from FC Porto.

TheGame: thanks mate, looks like he's a good signing. I saw him played couple of time but I have no idea if he's really good. LVG will attract a lot more good players. I love that!

What about £30m to Luke Shaw? Are those rumours true? Btw Ander Herrera is a great signing.

is this the guy who was supposed to join United last season but the negotiations went down or something? Decent player imo, adapting to the EPL wont be easy for him.

@Tuanis Yes. It turned out that officials from United were dealing with fake agents at that time. I think we overpaid. But he will need time for sure.

I read something about him paying part of his release clause because of how desperate he was to join United.

United are so overpaying. This amounts are too high. Don't you think? Especially for Luke Shaw.

Used to watch him like three years ago, he was so so good. Haven't watched him last season, but if he's as good as he was back then ( could be even better ) then this is a great signing for Man Utd.

I think United is overpaying for Herrera, not for Shaw who is younger and plays a position which is much more in need right now. Herrera's stats are very decent, but I still have now Idea what is Van Gaal planning to do with this guy. The only thing Im worried about with this transfer is that if we already signed a central midfielder then we start to see even further the possibility of bringing players like Strootman or Kroos who play in the same position. Unless he was brought as a 30m bench warmer which is not very common at United.
The Carrick-Herrera duo would be awesome to watch. I hope Carrick passes on his greatness and expertise to Herrera so he can become the next Carrick.

Herrera is a very talented and creative midfielder who has been very good for Bilbao in recent years, but United are overpaying for him. His true value should be around 18-22 M Pounds.

That is little too high . Also how long are we going to tolerate overpriced and overrated English players ? This what is wrong with English football . We have young lads who have not proven themselves and being sold for 30 million pounds ... and get paid 100 k a week . Demand for enlighsh players just takes all the motivation from them . As soon as they show some talent crazy offer comes and they feel as if they are kings of England because clubs make them feel that way . Every top club needs english or homegrown players too meet requirements of UEFA entry to CL .

Everyone was talking about how good Henderson is , but what happened to him ? He was overrunned .

I agree with the others labelling this an overpriced transfer business, however, what's keeping me hopeful is the fact that this overly high payment might be compensated by both players to serve our club for a very long time. This is similar to Rooney's case when he joined United from Everton. I'm hopeful about this for Hererra and Shaw as well. Massive rooms for improvement!

And also, Shaw's deal sounds a lot better than Baines, haha.
