from what i saw(united's team) one thing i couldn't stand was mkihtarian's laziness, many thought he would be signing of the summer but he hasn't showed that yet. the first goal was kinda his fault for not closing in on kolarov DESPITE rooney's instructions

"sometime very good and sometime very bad"
That's the definition of a mediocre player to be honest. I think with the talent United has, he's simply not consistent enough to feature in the starting XI. Of course every player has his peaks when he's brilliant, but this game proved in my opinion that Martial or Mata should be ahead of Lingard when picking the team.
@Phenohyte I agree with you that Martial should be ahead of Lingard when picking the starting XI. But Lingard really deserve his spot in the team, he's a great young lad with a lot of potential. Also, while he was far from stellar in the derby, he sure didn't play as poorly as Mikhitaryan who should do a lot better considering his experience as a player. :(
@Emobot7
I think Mkhitaryan suffered from 2 things:
Lack of playtime this year in United, therefore lack of chemistry with the team.
Lingard can start some games but not the derby yet.
@Phenohyte To be sincere, I just realised Mkhitaryan had an injury and wasn't even sure to play in the derby.
Manchester United vs Manchester City
Red vs Blue
Age-old rivalry.
As if a Manchester derby needs more hype, this year sees the rivalry between Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola renewed. Both managers have assembled brilliant squads by shelling out money, and both have seen their teams start with 3 wins from 3. Both are being seen as early season title contenders and whoever wins this match will surely make a statement in the Premier League. And of course both these managers would love to put one over their old rival.
Sergio Aguero is suspended, which is disapoointing, because if he was there we would have another subplot of seeing Aguero against Ibra, two of the Golden Boot contenders.
The whole world will be watching when two heavyweights collide in what is sure to be a very closely contested match. I, for one, can't make up my mind on who is going to win. It is surely the most anticipated Manchester derby in recent years.
Thoughts?
