Madrid's Marcelo sidelined with broken foot

Real Madrid full back Marcelo is sidelined until January after he broke his fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot on international duty with Brazil. Fortunately, we have another brilliant left back in Coentrao, but Marcelo's attacking prowess will be sorely missed. Get well soon!!!

Yes, Coentrão is injured as well, KingHenry. However, that's more of a doubtful one; Marcelo is certain to be out till January, while Coentrão probably can step up and manage to be ready for the upcoming game. If not, Varane is a good choice. :)

Sad for Marcelo and Coentrao, but some part of me is happy because Varane is a lad with great promise and will get his chance to improve in these few months. Looking forward to it !!

We need a youngster to replace him, Mourinho has to test his defence, or else we will conced stupid goals!

Mourinho was criticised for using Essein in LB when we have some good youth players from the Academy in the game against BVB !

I have no idea whats up with Madrid since I don't watch them unless it El Clasico or UCL Semi-Finals or Finals. Anyway, I have a question for Madrid fans... Hows Chelsea's bison Essien doing? Good, bad, or meh?

he has proved quite handy in and after his debut against City. So overall good except his display as LB against BVB but that was Mou's fault not Essein's.

Well thats great to hear since he kind of lost his touch after his fatal knee injury. I'm hoping he can return next season as the Bison of 06-07, 07-08, and 08-09.
