Just saw this online, thought it was interesting and decided to share here :)
If you go to Chengdu in China, there's a chance you'll find something rather odd. Basically, there's a car graveyard, with branded cars such as Mercedez, Bentley, Land Rover and many other luxury models sat unloved, uncared for and rusting away in overgrown shrubbery
Pictures have shown dozens of these cars abandoned in a former car park, forgotten by their owners.
Two of them, a Bentley Continental GT and another Bentley Flying Spur, are estimated to be worth more than fucking £300,000 alone.
How the hell has this happened, you must be asking? Well, the vehicles are currently locked up by the Sichuan state officials as their owners await criminal trials. By the looks of it, some of them have been awaiting trial for a bloody long time.
There are hundreds of cars here and more are added every week, begging the question as to just how many cars can you cram into a derelict and abandoned car park?
Chinese authorities claim they auctioned off a lot of cars last year. Which begs the question as to where the money goes? Frankly, who knows?
You know what I say? The government should keep the money. Use the dough on sprucing the place up a bit and turn it into a doggers' Disneyland.
