FIFA did not uphold his ban, the Court of Arbitration for Sport did. They said FIFA's punishment on him was too harsh, and that the 4 month ban will stand, but only for competitive football activities. He is allowed to play in both club and national friendlies, allowed to train and be revealed at the Camp Nou, and allowed to participate in fundraising football events.

I think it is fair for him to be able to train and at least enter stadiums and stuff... The match ban was the only thing really needed as punishment.

Ruining a 75M player form shouldnt be a punishement, his record ban from official tournments is enough.
Even Chellini judged that his ban was really harsh and wished for a reduction, no player should be banned from training.
He will proove to people again from what king of metal he is made, got banned by FA ? Destroyed PL goal scoring. Injured severly before WC ? Qualified his national team with mesmerizing performence, bring him at Clasico Enrique.

To be completely honest, even as a Barca fan I think he should have been banned for 2 years.

@Ramaboy you are completely crazy, that was on pitch and Football is a contact sport, in Rugby it doesnt even worth a yellow.
Maybe you should stop playing Fifa and practice a little, i got headbuted twice and gave some hard tackles in amator Football, the gesture of Suarez was worth a red card and 3 games ban, considering he didnt got punished on the pitch and because it was Suarez he got an incredible ban of 4 months, but come on 2 years ???? Are you serious or joking ? Maybe 2 years of jail right ?
If it was a Madrid player or even Pepe i would have said the same.

suarez and his agent appealed against the ban and fifa allowed suarez to train with barca but not play.
