Luis Enrique next Barcelona manager

Thoughts? He's been the manager of Celta de Vigo this season, and has taken them from a previous 17th place finish to a 9th place position right now (tied on points with 8th place Valencia).

I actually think Tony Pullis is going to be the next Barca manager

@SoccerBoss

I think Enrique has the higher chance as he's recently had a meeting with Andoni Zubizarreta.

Celta Vigo vs Real Madrid : if Luis Enrique make Real drop points then he is welcome.Luis Enrique has a HUGE chance to make everybody agree if he draw to Real Madrid.You guys are going to support Barça till the last game, how ironic :) ?I tell you why : You need Barça to win against Atletico, and we will only try if we have a chance to be Champions, otherwise Atletico will face La Masia youth and win the title.@Dynast : (off topic) : Ronaldo is finally scoring important goals, his equalizers against Atleti and Valencia at injury time are better than any useless hattrick.Good thing for your club.

In Big games, only Benzema used to score and assists important goals, which means the goals who decide the game.
Now things has quite changed and chances to win trophies too.

@Tiki

Lol, Ronaldo always scored in important matches. Don't know why you think otherwise.

I meant he is more decisive, i never said he cant score important goals...I just said that he is scoring more of them, and less useless goals, Yes at 4-0 the 5th goal is quite useless.PS : i was going to say at 3-0 but since Crystal game :) 4-0 is a better example.

Actually Ronaldo has scored in loads of important games, but his goals are way too less spectacular and he also disappeared in a lot of other important games... that's probably why when compare to a "normal" Messi (people always compare them anyway), Ronaldo seems doesn't perform in big matches.

He improves though.

I was actually complimenting Ronaldo...

Back to topic, Barça doesnt need a coach but a manager, Who manage the squad.Like Franck the Boer said, how can i coach Messi/Iniesta ? I have nothing to teach them. They need a manager and iam better at coaching and tactics...I dont know if its true, but agaist Mourinho or Simeone i would prefer having an experienced coach. Klopp is my choice if i had to choose.

Something almost nobody knows about Luis Enriqué :Luis Enrique is a confessed Real Madrid hater. Despite playing for 'Los Blancos' for five seasons from 1991/92 to 1995/96, he signed for Barcelona the following summer. The people in charge at the Bernabéu were looking at renewing his contract, but the Spaniard changed camps. He even underwent his medical in secret. The 'Merengue' fans have never forgiven him.
In the capital he became known as a traitor.The man who now manages Cetla scored five goals against Madrid wearing the Barcelona shirt, two of them at a livid Santiago Bernabéu. The tension which overwhelmed the crowd never affected him. Rather, it seemed to motivate him.

President Lorenzo Sanz criticised his performance, describing it as a provocation. "If he wants, I'll cry when I score," was Luis Enrique's response. Relations between the two parties are beyond repair. "I don't hold good memories of my time at Real," recollects the Celta coach. Not only did he shine as a player at the Nou Camp, he became an idol for the 'Culé' fans. "I see myself on stickers and on television and I feel weird in white. I think the blue and purple suit me much better.

"Luis Enrique has always been jeered at the Bernabéu, and it appears to motivate him. He already said it when he was playing: "For a Barça player, it is always rewarding to be jeered in this stadium." As a coach, he described the 2-6 win by Guardiola's side over Madrid as a "football orgasm".

Yeah, but it's not like I knew much about him anyways. :P

Whatever floats your boat. Just make sure you get a decent manager so we can have some competition, huh? ;)

I think we need a more experienced manager. All the top teams have experienced and proven managers that have won trophies. We can't settle for less. Barca is a big job to handle, especially with all the problems on and off the pitch going on right now.

In the league, there is no reason we wont be competing next year. In CL its another story, we need to have a perfectly balanced team, a good coach and some luck...
But as you know, the vitory has a better taste when it is not expected ;).
