Luciano Dario Vietto

Barcelona, Argentina 222 3053

Liverpool have been linked with an Argentinian starlet who has been dubbed as the 'new Sergio Aguero' and could finally be the man to replace Luis Suarez at Anfield.
Luciano Vietto has been banging in the goal for Villarreal and, at just
21-years-old, is one of the hottest prospects in the world game.
Mirror Football yesterday exclusively brought you the news that Brendan Rodgers had
turned his attention to securing the La Liga goal machine, who has a
price tag of £12million.
Real Madrid and Inter Milan are also said to be monitoring the young talent, so Liverpool would have to act quickly if they are to secure him as the man to lead the line through 2015.
But who actually is Luciano Vietto? Here is everything you need to know about Liverpool's January transfer target...

Factfile
First name:
Luciano
Last name: Vietto
Nationality: Argentina
Date of birth: 5 December 1993
Age: 21
Country of birth: Argentina
Place of birth: Balnearia
Position: Attacker
Height: 173 cm
Weight: 68 kg

Released as a youngster
Vietto was actually released by Argentine Primera Division club
Estudiantes at the age of 17, after being snapped up by the South
American giants two years earlier.Just when he thought his
lifelong dream of playing professional football had been cruelly taken
away from him, he was signed by Racing Club 12 months later. From
there, he went on to bag 18 goals in his 73 senior appearance before
being able to force himself the move to Europe this summer, where he has
been impressing for Villarreal since - averaging over a goal every
other game.

The new Aguero?
Vietto has been dubbed as the 'new Sergio Aguero' for his determined style of play when leading the line up front. Aguero has notched an incredible 94 goals in 141 games for Manchester City
since checking in at the Etihad as a £38million capture from Atletico
Madrid in July 2011.But Rodgers would not expect that kind of
phenomenal return from Vietto if he succeeds in prising him away from
the La Liga high fliers.Vietto would like to emulate the rampant
goalscoring form of Aguero if he made the move - and his goals could be
key to Liverpool rising up the Premier League table and pushing for
Champions League qualification.

International pedigree
Vietto is already bagging for the Argentinian national team's youth
ranks, and has maintained that impeccable record of bagging on every
other game.He has made four appearances for the Under-20s, all of which coming in the South American Youth Championships. He
notched his first goal for them in 2013 against Paraguay, before
bagging one later in the tournament, finishing his four games with the
two strikes. He is yet to break into the Argentinian first team,
however. But that is unsurprising, with Aguero, Messi and err, Franco Di
Santo at their disposal.

He has misfired
Don't get too carried away with his goalscoring record, though. He has
struggled to find the net for a team who have struggled in the league
standings before. At the start of the 2013/14 season for Racing
Club, after becoming a regular starter, he failed to score in his first
ten games of the season, as the club went through two different managers
in a poor run of form.He only finished that campaign with a
disappointing five goals in 35 games, but he had shown enough potential
to force his switch to Villarreal, which has inspired him to find his
feet again.

Rampant end to 2014
And find his goalscoring form again he certainly did. In his last six
games for Villarreal, he has bagged six goals, including an emphatic
double in the win over Deportivo La Coruna. He has a couple of
Europa League goals to his name as well, proving that he can do it on
big European nights, which makes him an attractive prospect for Liverpool in years to come with their young squad. His
10 yellow cards across 84 games in his career also insinuate that he is
ready for the rough and tumble of the Premier League, despite his
relatively small stature.

Great post! He is such a young talent, and would love to watch him play for a top team! I screamed when he scored that goal against Atletico at the Calderon to make Villareal win 0-1.

^ Are you really a Barça fan ? Dont watch games but compare players performences ?

Vietto should wait a little before changing club, should get more maturity first, and make his team win more money...
Going to Liverpool at the moment is a little risky for such a young talent, Villareal would be dumb to let him for less than 15M, next year he could worth double price.
