LOL! Jack Wilshere - What do we think of Tottenham?

Thats in my opinion very disrespectful. Arsenal and Tottenham represent both North-London so there must be some kind of respect between each other. And if you finally win a throphy after 9 years you should celebrate with your teammates and others but not disrespect or insult a team like Wilshere did.

@Iraqi right you have the moral high ground to say that.

Nah but in all seriousness we are rivals. These kinds of chants are just everyday chants that are said in every game between any two local rivals.

@koldimere, When Madrid won against Atletico in the CL final, did you here or saw any Madrid player insult or disrespect Atleti? You can chant , support or do everything you want during a match (vs Spurs or anyone) But when you win a final or a throphy you just celebrate it with your teammates and the fans. In football there should be lots of respect, thats why its the best sport in the world. But i understand Arsenal FC is more of a rubbish English club. And its hard for you guys to win a throphy especially emotionally after you win one after 9 years xD

Its part of life that you live with and lean to respect some fans and let others do whatever they want

It's ok for supporters to have that kind of attitude but players should keep it a little more professional...

@Iraqi_Gloryhunterista I would rather support my local rubbish english club than be a plastic supporter supporting a team i have never even attended. You see Wilshere has passion for the club and the rivalry thats why he started that chant. Why didnt Real do that? Cause they dont care at all. They play for themselves and for the money with the exception for Casillas and Morata but still both make enormous amounts of money.

fans sing this chant every week, it doesn't matter if we play tottenham or bayern munick people will sing this we hate tottenham. It's a way of celebrating. Wilshere is an arsenal fan, and by doing that every other arsenal fans love him even more.

@iraqi talking about respect hahahaha, you're trash to this forum and humanity in general. You're a sad little glory hunter that would have turned into an atletico fan if you'd have lost the final.

@Tuanis:

"It's ok for supporters to have that kind of attitude but players should keep it a little more professional..."

I agree in general, but in this particular case it's more amusing, than anything else. A number of Arsenal players have tried to kiss their fans' arses the last few seasons, such as Szczesny, Wilshire and Walcott, and the simple reason is: that's all they have going for them.

None of them have ever won the league. Hell, none of them were even at the club the last time Arsenal (and Wenger) won the league. This FA Cup is the first trophy that any of them have ever seen Arsenal win, their entire careers. Oh, the big boys at United, Chelsea and City have won things, and become multiple champions, but, the Arsenal boys? This current golden crop of Arsenal's academy and Wenger's transfer policy have won one trophy in 8 years, compared to the dozens won by their rivals (including league titles, FA Cups, Champions Leagues etc). They, well, they've never quite made it to the big time, the way their predecessors in 2004 did.

So, what do they do to make themselves feel better, and act as though they're someone important? They take cheap shots at Tottenham, safe in the knowledge that that a thousand online Gooners will upvote their crap, saying 'LOL' a lot, because THEY TOO have as much of an insecurity problem as their team does. Any victory, imagined or real, over their old neighbours will now be treated as though it is in itself a trophy, because there's been so few ACTUAL trophies to cheer about, before this fortunate win.

Ooooh yes, let's goat over Tottenham. Because Arsenal is where 'class is permanent'. ;)

@ramaboy: Funnily enough, I'm not the one whose team's players are acting like children. ;)

You might have missed the part where I said I'm amused more than anything.

No you are not amused you are jealous that you don't have homegrown fans who have passion for your club playing for you.

No that does make perfect sense and my rants about capitalism couldn't make more sense. If you seriously reject those facts then you should go educate yourself, i recommend a documentary called Capitalism: A Love Story by Michael Moore. You'll get what i mean after you've watched that.

Yes, I am. For three self-evident reasons:

1) You claim to be a journalist, and yet you write rather poorly, with grammatical mistakes which any journalist would not be caught dead making.

2) Whether or not your claim about being really into journalism is true or not, it's pretty insignificant when weighed against my own personal area of expertise: political science. I mean, seriously, you're citing Michael Moore.

Do you have any idea how intellectually lightweight Moore's work is, in the sphere of geopolitics? It's like using Tim Sherwood as an example of someone who knows how to win the Premier League.

Go ahead. Try me. :)

3) You're now playing my game, even within the space of two exchanges.

Michael Moore is a very intelligent man. I think you just are a conservative idiot if you believe otherwise. Have you watched the movie Sicko may i ask?

And btw, I do not make a lot of grammar mistakes but when I do it is because I write fast and this is a internet forum not professional media.
