Needless to say, historically this game used to be one of the biggest hit in football world and for some still is.

it is undeniable that both team have been struggling recently, and the fact that we are competing for the first time in Europa league is rather sad. :(.

Liverpool has been so down in the last decade that facing them doesn't feel thrilling anymore, and honestly, to me the only reason I feel so concern now is because Manchester United is also in kinda shiet form... (well also because of Klopp in the Kop).

There are a lot of article on the net now regarding the old and the new situation of the 2 giants.

Nevertheless, Im looking forward to this game and I think we will get the draw for the first leg.

My prediction: 2 - 2
Scorer: Firmino, Coutinho, Martial, and our new boy Rashford

I've always felt that the rivalry between City and United was bigger, but maybe it's because I respect Liverpool too much.

I don't think this game will be close, I think Klopp will try to keep it high-tempo and open, while LVG will try to keep it low-tempo and controlled. That either means a boring 0-0, or like 6 goals split between the teams. Depends which team actually gets to dictate the game.

I think it might be a 2-1 victory for Liverpool.

No Matter the form, still fun to watch the game and the post game banter, just like in Spanish forums thats fans who make the game happening due to rivalry, im in front of my screen ;)

I just watch the highlights again and I'm just boggled by the stupidity of Liverpool's second goal. To quote TSN's Jason DeVos:

"This is why you don't have midfielders playing as centre-halves. Carrick is trying to play out of his own six-yard box. Take that ball and smack it into row 75 and reorganize your back four. But he doesn't. He turns it over 8 yards from goal and concedes. If that doesn't happen, despite being outplayed, United go back to Old Trafford down 1-0 and fancy their chances to win. Now the tie is much harder, if not beyond them completely."

@tuan_jinn, the actual sad part is that even if we qualify in the CL somehow, we won't even last in the goup stages even, so it's a hopeless case with the way the club is being managed right now
